Artemis
"This place is worst than The Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub in Vegas on a Friday night!" I exclaimed as I moved to the side, allowing a couple of wolves to pass through on their way to the refreshment table. So far I had counted eight Alphas, eight Lunas and eight Betas. Meaning eight packs were here.

Tropic Breeze, Amethyst Stars, Poison Apple, Evergreen, Moon Beam, Celestial Moon and another pack Dimitri said was called Barren Souls, a pack of vampire-hybrids. They took some form of poison which would slow their aging. The Alpha, Silas Benjamin, was over two hundred years old, his Luna Nadia was one hundred and fifty. And yet they didn't look a day over fifty.

"Has Kennedy and Kai arrived yet?" I asked Dimitri as I looked around the chapel in search of my cousin.
"Not yet babe, Kai texted me a few minutes ago, said they're running a bit late. But don't worry they'll be here," Dimitri replied.

I nodded and took a sip of my glass of martini. When we arrived I was happy to see that Marcus was nowhere to be seen. I knew he was coming, but I just didn't want to see him. Not yet. Hell not ever! I didn't know half the wolves who were here and frankly I wasn't jumping at the thought to go make friends.

The Alpha of Amethyst Stars, Jeremy Anderson was a tall man of forty six. He had a tanned complexion, dark brown eyes and short platinum blonde hair. His mate Mia was slightly shorter with opal green eyes, pitch black hair that reached her shoulders and a slim figure. Like her mate she also had a tanned complexion and both of them looked like they were raised in a Mexican drug cartel.

The Alpha of Poison Apple, Matt Saunders looked to be in his mid fifties and he was lanky with short black hair with a few streaks of grey at his temples. His Luna Sarah was slender with a milk like complexion and blonde wavy hair that touched her back. She looked to be around forty five.

Alpha Daryl Goran and his Luna Crissy of Tropic Breeze. I met them at Everice's eighteenth birthday party and they were the most charming couple. Both had dark brown hair, tanned skin and caramel eyes. Dad said they were born and raised in Tropic Breeze and were friends since middle school. When Daryl turned twenty and Crissy eighteen, they discovered they were mates.

The first Alpha and Luna to greet us when we arrived was Alpha Jack and Luna Annie of Evergreen Pack. Jack was close to the same age as Dimitri and had curly bleachd hair, light blue eyes and he was well built. Annie was in her late twenties and was a redhead with forest green eyes.

She was slim and well put together in my opinion. She had a three month old baby girl in her arms and a four year old son standing on the ground, playing with her dress. She looked bored as her mate introduced Dimitri and I. She also told me to spend some time in the gym and maintain a healthy diet since I looked like a malnourished teenager on steroids. What a bitch.

"Why hello dear sister of mine, fancy meeting you here,"
"Speaking of being a bitch," Caroline groaned in annoyance.
I turned around and saw Natalie approach with Alec and Mother.
Natalie, Alec and Mother came up to me and I leaned against the wall, forcing myself to remain calm.

Dimitri wasn't here at the moment, he left to have a word in private with Jeremy, Daryl, Dad and Silas. Bria and Lana weren't here either. I was the lone wolf. Yes, yes I know. Lone wolf. It's hilarious considering I am technically a wolf.

"Well, well, Artemis you look lovely in that dress, wherever did you purchase such extravagance?" Mother asked.
"My mate bought it for me as a gift," I said turning to face the wall.
"Surely you have no problem sharing a conversation with your mother, I'm just trying to be nice my child," she said smiling.
