Artemis
"Dimitri slow down! You'll crash the car if you continue driving like this!" I exclaimed holding onto my seat for dear life as Dimitri sped down the highway, he clenched the steering wheel so tightly his knuckles were turning white. I could  feel his anger in the mate bond as well as Roman's. After he read the note, he flew off the
chair, attracting the attention of the other diners.

He slapped $400 on the table and took the file with the information and grabbed my hand, dragging me out of the restaurant. We went to the car, got in and Dimitri drove off. We were currently on our way to the packhouse to call an emergency meeting. The threatening words in the note had me worried.

It wasn't Marcus. For one thing 'little canary' or 'my rose' wasn't mentioned anywhere in the note, the words were in the form of a poem and they weren't even in Marcus's handwriting. It wasn't Ravenna, Dimitri said Ravenna always coats her letters in a special perfume. Her signature.

So it wasn't Ravenna or Marcus. So who was it? And what motive did they have for threatening us? We eventually made it to the packhouse and Dimitri got out and stormed inside gripping my wrist so tightly I thought it would snap from the force he used to drag me along.

In the living room was Dimitri's parents, Bria, Alessandro, Lana, Vincent and Dad. Bria, Alessandro and Dad were watching MTV, Lana and Vincent were playing poker and Dimitri's parents were reading a book. When they heard the front door slam, they all  looked up from their activities, startled at the abrupt sound.

"What are you guys doing here?" Bria was the first to ask.
"My office now. I'm calling an emergency meeting. Someone call Todd and Everice," Dimitri demanded as he now proceeded to pull me upstairs like a dog on a leash. The sound of footsteps were heard behind as everyone followed us to Dimitri's office. We took our seats and two minutes later, Everice and Todd came in.

They closed the door behind them and took their seats.
"So what's this emergency meeting about Dimitri? We also noticed you seemed angry when you came in. Is everything okay?" Mom asked as she sat next to Dad.
"We were having dinner with Alvin at The Grand Lux Cafè, he wanted to brief us on the Ravenna situation," Dimitri began.

"Okay and what did he say?" Everice asked.
"That's not what I called the meeting for. When Artemis ordered her desert, a note came with it," Dimitri paused and took the note out of his pocket and held it up. "Does the signature on this note look familiar to anyone?"

Mom rose off her chair and snatched the note and stuck it in her pocket. Her face visibly paled, causing Dad to rise off his chair and placed his hands on her trembling shoulders to calm her.
"Расслабься, Шеннон, все в порядке. Сделай глубокий вдох и просто расслабься. Все в порядке, я здесь,"
(Relax, Shannon, it's okay. Take a deep breath and just relax. It's okay, I'm here) Dad said soothingly.

"What happened Mrs Chekhov?" Bria asked in concern.
"Its nothing Bria, all of you can go back to whatever it is you were doing," Dad said as he pulled Mom into a hug.
"Dad we need to know who the note is from, it could be anyone. Someone wants to hurt Artemis and I, we can't sit around and not do anything about it," Dimitri protested.

"Dimitri your mother and I will handle it. We know what we're doing, can you please just drop it?" Dad asked lowly.
Dimitri gave a low growl of frustration and stood up and left the office, slamming the door behind him. I sighed, apologized to everyone and went after him, only to meet Barbara in the hall.
