Artemis
The Grand Lux Cafè was the epitome of luxury, prominence and elegance. The place was so extravagant with a five star rating, exceptional quality, radiating resplendence and dignity. If a person got a reservation at the Grand Lux Cafè it usually meant they were of high status and held a certain degree of power and influence in the society.
As the Alpha and Luna of Crimson Blood, Dimitri and I were usually the object of the scrutiny of many other packs all around. They were always watching. We were after all one of the top five most powerful packs in Romania and to hold a position such as that definately had its perks. A picture is worth a thousand words.
Dimitri helped me out of the car and we walked hand in hand into the restaurant. I observed some of the other patrons who entered with their dates and looked down at my dress and frowned.
"I feel underdressed," I murmured to Dimitri."Babe you look fine, you're beautiful. You have natural beauty, there's no need to feel such things," Dimitri said reassuringly.
"But this dress looks like something to wear to a barbeque or a family reunion," I protested. "I wanted to wear my white dress. The lace one with the pearls adorning the waist.""It's just dinner we're going for sweetheart, not a convention or a prominent event. You see what I'm wearing?" Dimitri laughed as an usher guided us to our reservated table where Alvin Klein was waiting for us, wearing a pair of black dress pants, a white shirt and a navy blue jacket, sipping a glass of bourbon.
As one of Dimitri's most skilled undercover agents, Alvin could certainly afford to live a lavish lifestyle. He was the one we called when we needed to get intel on somebody, when we wanted to learn of a person's background and lifestyle, if we wanted to track them or find deceptive dirt. All meetings were confidential of course. His loyalty was to us and only us.
"Your table Alpha, Luna," the usher said gesturing us to the round table, one in a far secluded corner where our conversations wouldn't be eavesdropped.
"Dimitri, Artemis, thank you for accepting my invitation," Alvin finished the last of his bourban and rose to greet Dimitri and I.The men cordially shook hands and Alvin kissed my knuckles, the gentlemanly thing to do while meeting a lady friend. Dimitri pulled out my chair and I took a seat while decorously folding my hands on my lap and tucking my legs in a dignified manner.
Dimitri and Alvin took their own seats and the forum began."I've been keeping my eye on Ravenna just like you asked Dimitri, and I'm sure you'll be quite pleased to know that I have obtained a generous shovelful of dirt to expose the villainess and her treacherous and malicious plans," Alvin said proudly.
"That is good news. Have you brought the file?" Dimitri asked.
