Artemis

"Marguerite you'd better release us right this instant or you'll be very sorry!" Yuri yelled as she pounded on the mystical cage that Marguerite locked her in along with the rest of the vampires that came to the manor with Presha.

"It is you who will be sorry Yuri. You all have sinned against the Terrena Custos Coven. You fed on humans, kidnapped Luna Artemis and held her hostage like some animal, all for the sake of helping Presha free Derrek from his prison," Marguerite said angrily. "And now you shall pay for your sins."
"How are we gonna get back to the cathedral?" I wanted to know.
"I'll use my magic to teleport everyone to the cathedral. I've sent a message to Ramona, so she Lucias and the others will be waiting for us by the time we return."

"Shall we continue searching for Presha, Marguerite?" one of the vampires —who Marguerite referred to as Clarice —inquired.
"Yes you do that. But be careful. I don't think I have to tell you how dangerous Presha is," Marguerite cautioned.
"We'll be careful. I promise. You go on ahead to the cathedral."

Marguerite nodded and closed her eyes for a few short minutes. When she opened them again, she snapped her fingers and in the blink of an eye, we were in the downstairs area of the cathedral.

"How on Earth did you do that?" I gasped.
"Teleportation spell. You visualize where you want to go, snap your fingers and voilà, you appear in the place you were thinking of. It's one of the most basic spells we learn to cast."
"It may be basic, but it's quite useful," Dimitri commented.

"Artemis!"

Turning quickly around I saw my father standing a short distance away along with Kai, Kennedy, Uncle Varun and Ramona. Feeling a wave of relief wash over me, I ran towards them and threw my arms around my father, crying tears of relief. "Oh Daddy, I missed you so much. I thought I'd never see you again."

"Shh, it's okay sweetheart, I'm here. It's alright, everything's going to be okay. Don't cry, Daddy's not gonna let anything happen to you. Not now, not ever again," Dad said softly as he rested his chin on my head while soothingly rubbing my back. I smiled and went to hug Kennedy and Kai, glad to see that the two of them remained unharmed.

"Thank the Goddess you're alright. I was so worried about you," Kennedy sighed as she pulled back to gaze into my eyes.
"Same here. I thought I was gonna die. Fortunately Dimitri and the others found me in time," I said.

"I'd hate to think what would've happened if we hadn't," Marguerite came over and stood next to Ramona. "Before we teleported to the cathedral I sent Clarice and the rest of them to search for Presha. With her vampires locked in the cage and Rupert, Adeline and Marcus restrained upstairs, she's the only  one left."

"Speaking of psychopaths one, two and three, what say we head upstairs and check on them?" Bria suggested. "Without Vlad, Marcus isn't as strong as he used to be, but Rupert and Adeline won't allow themselves to be taken into custody without putting up a fight. I'm sure they're plotting ways to escape right now."

"I agree with Bria. Rupert is a scheming, conniving bastard who always has a new trick up his sleeve," Kai said disdainfully.
"Stay close to me alright? I don't want you anywhere near those three," Dimitri whispered in my ear.

I nodded and took Dimitri's hand in mine and together we walked up the stairs with everyone following close behind.

"We've been sitting on this damn floor for hours, couldn't you have given us chairs to sit on? What do you take us for? Pet dogs?" Adeline asked as she glared contemptuously at me.
"I happen to like pet dogs, they're quite cute. Especially cocker spaniels and Pomeranians. To call you lot dogs would be a blatant insult to the species," I said simply. "Pathetic lowlifes better fits your description. Now shut your mouth, I'm trying to read."
