Artemis

After dinner we had chocolate chip cheesecake with raspberry sauce and iced coffee for desert and I was once again blown away by the flavours of the food. The omegas cleared our plates and Dimitri, Everice Todd and I politely excused ourselves to our room. Even though we had time to rest on the plane we still had a bit of jetlag and decided to sleep it off.

"Dinner was delicious. I won't be eating anything for the rest of the night," I said yawning as I snuggled with Dimitri under the sheets of our bed. Dimitri chuckled and pulled me into his arms and kissed the top of my head.

"Tomorrow we can finally get some answers about this whole prophecy business. I'm anxious to know what happened all those years ago that caused Sapphire Sea to hold such resentment towards Golden Sun and Celestial Moon," he said.

I hummed in response and closed my eyes, prepared to take a nap and relax after my long day. The bed was soft and comfortable and I had no trouble falling asleep and neither did Dimitri. Judging by the quietness coming from the other room, I'm guessing Todd and Everice felt the same way.

When I opened my eyes again the room was dark. Looking around I saw moonlight streaming in through the open windows and raised my eyebrows questioningly. I was sure I closed those when we went to bed after dinner.

Deciding I was probably too tired to remember whether I closed them or not, I simply climbed out of bed and went to shut them. I yawned and carefully locked them making sure the curtains were pulled. When I turned around I saw the door was also open.

"What the hell? Who opened that?" I said to no one in particular.
How tired was I last evening? Certainly not that tired to forget closing the door to our room. What if someone else opened it?
Shaking my head I closed the door and made sure to lock it just like the window.

I went back to bed, glad I didn't disturb Dimitri. Pulling the covers over myself I rested my head on Dimitri's chest and closed my eyes for the second time, hoping that when I woke up again, it will be morning.

I was lying in a bed of cotton, my head rated on the softest pillows and I was covered with a blanket of warmth. I never wanted to wake up and have this beautiful dream fade away. But I did.

"Artemis sweetheart, wake up, it's almost time for breakfast,"
I felt a hand shaking my arm and slowly opened my eyes, only to see Dimitri kneeling on the bed, gently shaking me to wake up.
"Hmmm...what time is it babe?" I asked groggily.

"It's seven am love, Gina said breakfast is to be served at eight," he told me as he bent down to kiss my neck. I moaned and laid on my side, covering my head with my pillow.
"Artemis wake up we don't want to be late," Dimitri removed my pillow and I groaned and snatched it back.

"Sono stanco, lasciami in pace. Porta su la colazione, sono troppo stanco per lasciare la camera da letto," I said irritatedly.
(I'm tired, leave me alone. Bring breakfast up, I'm too tired to leave the bedroom)

"Stop being so stubborn, wake up right now or I'll dag you out of bed myself," I heard him say.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. He wouldn't dare do that. Would he?
As if to prove me wrong Dimitri grabbed my legs and pulled me off the bed making me squeal.

Holding me in his arms he carried me to the bathroom and placed me on the counter. Turning the water on he filled the tub and added bubble bath. I folded my arms across my chest and glared at him. I almost fell on the damn floor thanks to him.
