I slipped on some loop earrings and added some finishing touches to my make up before scurrying downstairs.Jay had just pulled over in the driveway and I didn't want Mum to ask me questions or engage in unnecessary conversation with him so I hurried to meet him before Mum got the door.

"Bye Mum, See you later." I called swinging the door open.

"Have a nice time Sweetie." She called back from the kitchen.

I met Jay just about when he was killing his car's engine.I flung the door open and he looked at me with a light chuckle.

"Excited to be alone with me huh?" He asked as I shut the door and greeted him.

"Not a chance,My Mum's in."

"So?"

"She'll ask me lots of questions I wouldn't really want to answer." I explained as he put the car on drive.

He nodded."I'll buy that."

His double tapped on his airpods and and  said  a hello into the mouth mouth piece.
I watched him  as a light  frown crossed over his face as he listened to whatever the caller was saying.

"So you want me to come over right now?" He asked taking a  cursory glance at me.

"Yeah,sure." He ended curtly.

"We will be having a little detour." He announced taking a sharp turn to his right.

Apparently Jessica wanted him around for some reason.
He  soon pulled over at the front  of a  light blue house with  a decent  front yard.

I watched him unbuckle his seat belt and stride calmly to the porch. He rang the bell and it was opened by a blonde with a scanty outfit, Jessica.

"Argh!" I groaned in disdain looking at her as she flung her hand over his neck.
Automatically,I turned away not wanting to see her smack  her hungry lips on his.It was too bothersome to relive. I turned to meet them walking hand in hand towards the car  as she craned her neck to  take a better look at the occupant of her boyfriend's vehicle.

Her face scrunched up in disgust when she noticed me sitting in the car.I rolled my eyes and plastered a fake smile on my face.
As if that was not enough,"What's she doing in there?"She asked.

"I'm going out with her." He said simply.

"To?"

"The get together at Eric's house." He said.

Her face involuntarily wrinkled in surprise  showing hurt.

Had she not known about this?

That look only lasted a millisecond and was immediately washed away by a smile as she looked up at Jay and placed a kiss on his cheek.

"I'll grab my purse." She said walking away.

I silently cursed myself for agreeing to come with Jay in the first place.
I now had Jessica, his clingy girlfriend to deal with.

I lifted myself from the front seat and tried pulling myself across the centre console to get over to the back seat.
In the process,I lost balance and found myself sinking to the ground.I landed roughly on the backseat.
"Argh!" I yelped as my foot came into contact with the hard glove compartment .
The cold metal buckle of my heels grazed my skin as I lay defeated on the car seat  sending Jay flinging the  car door open.

"Are you okay?"he asked looking at me worriedly.

I nodded an okay trying not to show the stinging pain I felt down my foot as he looked at me skeptically.
He pulled me roughly from the car seat and I landed on my feet with an ouch.
" You told me you were okay."He reasoned gently placing me back on the car seat.
