Opening a window, Vi jumps in first as she helps Caitlyn up after her. I stand in place for a moment watching from where we came from, everything telling me to go back to help him but... I would just end up in Stillwater... or dead if I am lucky.

I turn and hand her my left arm, she pulled me up as I try to use my legs. Falling over on my ass, I rest my head against the window's wall.

"Just leave me here for a moment," I state, as she nods.

Then back to Caitlyn, helping her across the room, "Who lives here? Another Councilor friend of yours?"

Though before she could answer the door burst wide open, I don't even move as the plants are blocking my view as the two of them freeze on spot, I hear the cocking of a gun.

"Caitlyn!" I hear a woman gasp.

"Oh. We were so worried. Thank goodness you're safe!" a man walks up to hug her, this must be her family, I do remember them being of high standing, this room is more expensive than anything I stole.

"And you found a stray."

I then groan from where I am sitting, "Two actually."

"This is Vi, and that is (Y/N). They are both from the undercity."

She steps forward, to see me on the floor, "So I see. Could we have a word, Caitlyn? In private."

The three of them leave the room, I finally manage to lift myself, resting on the windowsill as I tear cloth from my cloak as I dig my finger into my leg pulling out the bullet that luckily didn't travel very far.

"Let me," Vi stops me as she wraps the cloth around my leg, "You are awfully quiet..."

"I don't have anything to say, you wouldn't like what I had to say anyway."

"I still want to hear it..."

"No," I stop her, then as she tightens the cloth to stem the bleeding, for now, she looks at my other arm, "Did it-"

"Leave it," I warn her, "It's just numb is all. I'll have Xani fix me up."

"(Y/N)..."

I look at her with a glare, then shut my eyes tightly as I let out a long sigh, "What if he is dead... what if we just lost someone else because of your fucking sister!?"

She doesn't answer, knowing full well she doesn't intend to I only scoff. Sitting in silence still as I glance through the window with an angry expression.

"You promised to play a song for us one day. Remember?"

"That was a lifetime ago," still in my angry tone.

"Yeah... but a promise is a promise. Right? It wouldn't be the same without her."

"It will never be the same, Vi."

"Why not?"

I then gesture to my arm, "Tear off my sleeve," she looks confused for a moment as I then gesture towards it again, "I am serious."

Lifting herself, she pulls up the sleeve to see nothing but metal. Then with a furrowed brow lifts it up even further to see the bullets lodged into the metal that completely destroyed it.

"What... when did this happen?" she looks up at me with a pained expression.

"When you guys went to save Vander, I tried to follow you all. To help you, to make sure none of you died. I fucked up, got caught and as I tried to run... Rud was there... working for Silco all along. Gave him a choice, either they kill me or they take my arm from me."

Then feeling the memories pour back in, tears well in my eyes, "He didn't do a clean job," gesturing to my arm, "He cut here first, trying to separate it at my elbow but it didn't cut all the way through. Then missed cutting even higher, then a little bit lower. Gutted my arm like fish... had to remove the entire thing."

"I can't play... even if I tried..." feeling them stream down my face, "He took everything from me, things... I can never and will never be the same."

"We can fix this," she then touches the arm, "We just need to find-

I shake my head, stopping her, "There is nothing to fix. The damage is done, Vi. You know I am so sick of losing people, of losing everyone over and over and over. I count the people that die every day hoping that I can one day do right by them... do right by the people we lost."

"It isn't about the arm, it is about everything and everybody we lost," then grinding my teeth, "I warned you, I warned all of you and you just wouldn't fucking listen to me... and I couldn't help you when you needed someone the most."

Arms around my neck, holding me close to her.

"We will do this together, you won't be alone. You shouldn't blame yourself for what happened that night..." her hold grows even tighter, "Nobody should be blamed, I ran away from Powder and because of me, she is this... Jinx."

I shake my head, "Regrets will do nothing for either of us," I sigh, then pulling away from her, "I have to go-"

"Wait," she stops me, pain in her eyes, "Stay for a little while... for me?"

"Please... stop doing that to me, it hurts every time," then lifting my hood back over my head, then reach for my belt only to realize that the mask is gone, noticing my old one on her table, I reach for it and press it against my face.

"(Y/N)..."

Then with a sigh, "I hope I can one day make it up to you, Vi," then throwing my legs over the side, "I wish I could have done more for you,  that I could have been there when you needed me but this time I have to go, they need me as well and I don't think I will be able to stop myself if I see her."

"I understand, come back soon, okay?" despite being understanding, this is probably for the best and more reason to get everything off of our chests... for good.

"Hm hmm," then saying as push myself out of the window, "You know, I always liked you since the start."

I say it, hovering for a moment to see if she had anything to say. Then pressing my mask to my face, I finally push myself off. Heading back to the undercity through one of our hideouts that got massacred in hopes to go for that one final push.

Once more into hell, to embrace the end.

And finally let him die.
