On that very night, it was raining.
It was raining heavily that the pathways were completely slippery.
The falling rain was tipping down from the gloomy sky rapidly, and loudly.
Step
Sounds of footsteps were echoing throughout the night.
Rushing forward as if he didn't care of tripping over, a figure was focusing on a spot that was unusually bright supposing this late at night.
A place...
A place that no one would ever visit even in a daytime...
That place.. was the source of the flashlights.
People...
A few people in white were surrounding something and muttering to each other, though the rain was too loud that the figure couldn't hear anything in quite a distance.
One step..
The figure was wondering if there was something they could be doing in such a quiet alley and under the pouring rain.
What were they doing rushing here and there?
And another step..
Ahh...
The figure could finally see it.
Someone was badly injured to the point that they couldn't even move their legs.
The people in hospital uniforms were cleaning his wounds and bandaging him who was laying painfully on the stretcher.
Perhaps, they did so because they didn't want the injury to get soaked while moving him to the ambulance parked by.
That was why they were first-aiding him.
Caressingly and carefully.
Even so, the legs still shook in pain.
The painful groan was ringing throughout the small alley.
Ugh—
It was heartbreaking to hear. They must be in pain.
Who?
Who could be found in such a mess on this school ground in such a gloomy night?
One more step closer..
The figure got in between the nurses, politely asking them to open up a way for him.
"Excuse me, can I go through—?"
As soon as the figure spoke up, the speech was cut off.
To be exact, it wasn't really cut off.
It was that, the speaker couldn't continue his speech... after seeing the injured person lying in pain.
Strangely enough, the figure found himself no longer making a sound.
Did he, by any chances, know or somehow relate to the injured?
As if he lost his voice, the figure could not say another word.
He stood there, staring at the injured soundlessly.
Was it teardrops?
Was it sweats that came from running around too much?
Or was it the simply the rain?
It was difficult to differentiate between the three.
However, there was something that could be said for sure. It was that, the figure's purple pupils were shaking and screaming, emotionally.
