A side story that is supposed to be published after chapter 16, but I forgot (hehe, so sorry 🙏)

This is a story of a caring little brother.

The situation was bad.

The experience was the worst.

Even so..

Supposing Naru was given another chance,

Then.. he would have done the same thing over again.

Naru von Ejellan.

When he first opened his eyes, although he couldn't understand the language yet, that was the name his parents called him.

But, before he could hear anything else, he started to cry, louder and louder than any other first born kids.

Honestly, it wasn't weird for him to do so.

It was a given.

It was a given because he was too small to even call a just-born baby.

Yes.

Beside him, laid a baby that was very identical to him.

Perhaps you could say that he was two times smaller than this twin brother that was born several minutes earlier.

As if the baby brother understood why Naru cried, an as-small-as-a-finger-size hand grabbed the little thin one of Naru's and miraculously stopped the frail baby's cries.

To us, it didn't seem anything much.

Nevertheless, to the young parents and the nurses that could hardly prevent the little baby's sobbing, it was a rare and beautiful sight that made them convinced of how strong the twins' bond could be.

Though..

It wasn't polite to interrupt the joyful newly mother and father.. however..

The doctor saddened his eyes at the adorable yet miserable twins and interjected.

"I apologize for cutting in.. but.. I'm afraid the second child will not be able to live long..."

How would you feel, hearing something like that about your new born babies?

It was understandable if the doctor were to say that the baby would be frail and sickly since he was very small unlike the babies his age.

But, to say that he would not live long after giving birth to him.. that... that's just too cruel..

An unexpected converse eventually reached the mother's ears and tears fell down from the same eyes that had just cried in joy at the thought of her lovely twin babies. The father could also do nothing other than comforting his wife in pain.

Even so..

Despite all the distressed atmosphere...

The two twins was still holding each other's small hand and sleeping peacefully and soundlessly.

Five years later,

The pain of sickly Naru was getting worse.

He could barely do anything and just lay on the bed all day long.

They said, kids his age is in their joyful childhood period and is supposed to have a lot of fun.

Though, to Naru, as long as his pain won't upset him too much, that's all the matter.
