There was a time

When everything around me suddenly went blurred.

What was in front of me?

I recalled it was a chair, but when I leaned to grab it, my abdomen immediately bursted in pain.

“..it wasn’t serious, but he could have injured if he were to faint elsewhere beside the classroom.”

“Is that so.. thank you very much. I’ll tell him to be careful.”

As soon as I woke up, murmuring noises began buzzing into my ears, and— not so surprisingly, I found myself on the usual infirmary bed.

Briefly nodded, I gestured my head, at Soo Hyuk-hyung who appeared to be coming over to my side.

But, on a second thought, I realized I don't have time to worry about myself just yet.

“..what about my parents? The teachers didn’t call them, did they?”

Albeit awkward, I blurted out my utmost concern.

Though, as if what I spoke was unbelievable, Soo Hyuk-hyung burrowed his eyebrows, his head shaking at me in helplessness.

“You— almost died and that’s the first thing you asked? Ughh! Why did I even trust you when you said you won’t overwork yourself again..!”

Pretended to hear nothing, I gradually retracted my gaze.

Who told him to always lash out at me like that anyway... can’t he just let me slide once more?

Ahem- not that I can deny how reassuring it was to know that he actually cares though.

“Ahahaha— although, well, dying is a little bit...”

“You still have the guts to laugh? I’ll see if you can still relax like this once I tell on uncle that your after-class activities are all over.”

“What-? No— that’s the only excuse I could give them so I can extend my studies at school library! Wouldn’t I immediately get dragged home if you were to tell him like that—?”

If you’re going to hate it either way, should I also tell him that you fainted more than often at school so even your class sessions will be cut short?”
