A/N; Not to spoil the fun, but this chapter wasn't about what you're thinking of yet~ since we were having mostly Kim Rok Soo's pov last chapter, it's only fair that Barrow should get one too, right?

Hehe, well, enjoy the reading after a long while, everyone!

***

Does redemption truly exist?

Especially for someone who knew perfectly well he was in wrong, and yet, still remained doing so?

— He wondered.

Turning behind his back, was an endless gorge that kept crumbling on, the further step he took onto the path of no return.

And on the other opposite side, was Kim Rok Soo continuously looking for him, knowing nothing of the gloomy abyss that was between them.

That — was probably what Barrow felt when he did no more than standing unmoved, as he silently observed Cale Henituse who scoffed at his self-believed hallucination and left the place helplessly.

While they both are destined to once again reunite, it also means that either of the two has to risk their step, sinking into the wickedness depth of the lightless void, in order to reach the contradictory side.

Without a doubt, that was the unfortunate reality of their indescribable distance.

That was why..

"..I had no choice but to break him on my own."

At that moment,

Barrow was probably the only one who most understood the meaning behind his words.

...

Huuuuu..

Retracting his gaze from the departed man, Barrow turned backward and was about to leave to the opposite direction, when he noticed a slight shadow from where he stood.

"Sayeru."

It was none other than his subordinate who seemed to be imitating his bad habit and once again skipped class.

Prior of today, he had heard during the phone call that this Sayeru and Dorph kept on reporting it about how the so-called Cale Henituse imitated his hair color and stole his name.

But now that he thought of it, aren't they actually doing the same thing of imitating him?

'Well.. as long as they didn't actually touch him..'

It was truly fortunate that they've abided by his orders seriously unlike Adin who kept getting on his nerves. If it weren't for their quick wit and loyalty, the incident of him beating up his own people might happen for a second time.

A second after Barrow blurted the name, a faint hoarse voice spoke up.

"Good afternoon, boss."

Appeared behind the red-haired, was a slightly tall and muscular man. With a similar physical appearance of a bear, he walked out of the shadow and greeted his liege.

"What are you doing here instead of attending class?"

According to their academic year, Sayeru was a year lower than Barrow who's a third year. The bear-like subordinate was also someone Barrow especially assigned to be next to Cale Henituse, knowing that without a doubt, he would transfer here.

As Sayeru heard the boss, he straightened his back and respectfully responded.

"It was PE so I deliberately pretended to be ill and was permitted to leave the class early, sir."
