"The wheels on the bus go round and round~ Round and round~ round and round~"
Humming, a little curly pink-haired boy crossed the seemingly busy street.
He wasn't any older than ten years old. However, he was taught well enough to travel a short distance on his own.
"The wheels on the bus go round and round~ All through the town~"
Dodori continued mumbling a song happily, as he held a thick book within the grasp of his small arms. On his back, was a decent beige-color backpack; small enough for a little boy like him to carry around.
The boy had just finished his elementary class when he decided to be a good boy and go looking for his mother on his own!
'Hehe, after this, mommy will praise me a lot and read this book for me!'
With that plan in mind, Dodori made sure to carry the oddly thick book tightly as though he was afraid someone would steal it from him.
The little boy is a book collector. Even though he couldn't read the book proficiently yet, just to gather every books he could within his reach and listen to his mommy's reading from time to time would be sufficient enough.
His dream is to be a scholar. For that particular matter, he has already found a role model to follow their footsteps and pursue his goal.
Without a need to mention out loud who the role model is, Dodori soon found himself staring dazedly at a huge gate of a school.
As he recalled the letters of the words above the gate, after a minute of hesitation, he could finally produce some sounds.
"Cross..man.. Campus..!"
'Yes! This is it!'
Overjoyed, Dodori jumped excitedly. This is it! This is a school that his mother often brought him over whenever his class came to an end!
As he had heard from his mother, she is currently a teacher at this school. She usually stays over the infirmary to treat any unwell students, and in her free time, taking care of the school garden.
Thus, thanks to having been here often, Dodori wasn't a stranger to this school ground. As such, the school guard also knew him quite well and didn't hesitate letting Dodori in to find his mother.
"Thank you, uncle!" Politely, the curly pink-haired slightly bowed toward the elderly school guard a bit before go roaming inside.
His plan was to have his mother read him this new book as soon as possible!

Unfortunately, too much expectation could unknowingly lead to disappointment.
Sigh
A beautiful beige long hair was first seen, as a woman in her formal nurse attire slowly appeared in sight. The lady secretly took a deep sigh when she looked over to her son who apparently refused to wait for the pick-up and, had yet again brought her another unknown book!
"Dodori, what did I tell you about patiently waiting to be picked up at the elementary school?"
Of course, it was rather brave of her son to take the initiative to come for her on his own, but for his safety, Mila couldn't help but scold him.
"Mommy.. I just..."
Forget the compliment that he deserved, Dodori hadn't even finish his response, when his mother interrupted.
"Also, how many times do I have to tell you not to bother your teacher and borrow his books again?"
As always, Mila appeared to be strict each time she was before her son. It wasn't like she opposes him being courageous of setting a resolve to come to her on his own or being matured enough as to only think of reading and listening to book teller, however, she unknowingly felt a faint sense of fear that Dodori is becoming more and more mature than his age.
