Hailey's P.O.V.

After dinner I went to my room to grab a sweatshirt and put some leggings on. I went back upstairs and headed outside where we were having a bonfire tonight.

Drake, Greg and Shane were getting the fire started when I headed down to them.

"Where's everyone else?" I asked as I headed to the table full of alcohol.

"Probably being all coupley." Greg said as he walked over to the cooler and grabbed out three beers.

"Oh!"

"You want one?"

"No, thank you though. I'm going for something a little stronger. You boys want one of these first?" I asked, holding up the bottle.

They all nodded as I poured each of us a shot of whiskey and then grabbed the tequila.

I loved tequila.

Mixing up my drink, I handed them each their shot and went over and sat down next to the guys.

"Cheers." We all said, clinking our glasses together.

The fire felt nice. There was something about watching the fire burn that was totally memorizing. "It's been a long time since I've done something like this, it's nice."

"You didn't have bonfire's in Texas?" Greg questioned.

"Nope." I said sadly. "So, I've been here for a day and a half and I don't know what you guys do."

The patio door opened and the others started coming out of the cabin, towards us.

I looked back over at the three guys I was sitting next to. "Shane? What do you do for work?"

"I'm an electrician in the Detroit area."

"Nice, did you start right out of highschool?"

"I was three when I started going to work with my dad. It's kind of a family business, my grandfather was an electrician, my dad's one so I get to step in. I took over most of the stuff so Dad could slow down a little."

"Oh, that's awesome. I'm sure your Dad loves working alongside you. My dad was actually an electrician too, so I got to tag along on some of his jobs in the summers."

"Did you enjoy it?"

"No I hated it." I started laughing, "I knew Dad enjoyed me being there and the different contractors would bring me snacks, candy and pop so it wasn't too terrible."

I turned towards Greg, "What about you? What do you do?"

"I didn't figure you knew who I was."

"Am I supposed to?"

"No, it's nice not to get recognized to be honest. I'm a linebacker for the Detroit Lions."

"Football player."

He started laughing, "Please tell me you're not a Bears fan since you're from Chicago?"

Jess started laughing, "Welllll."

"Shut up, don't you dare." I really didn't want anyone to know this story, it wasn't my finest moment.

Jess started laughing as the rest of them joined us after getting their drinks.

"I have a feeling this is going to be a great story." Drake said.

"It's really not." I admitted.

"It is!" Jess said as she sat down, getting comfortable. "So when my parents and I went to go visit her family the week of Hailey's eighteenth birthday, Hails and I snuck into a club Saturday night. These two large men ended up coming over and introduced themselves to us. The only reason I even knew who they were was because of you guys and my dad talked about him constantly."
