Just A Nightmare? (🌈)

My precious small family is having our fun family date at the park near our house. My precious family is consists of me, my husband, my two son, and my daughter.

Bang Chan, my husband. Bang Jisung and Bang Felix, twins who are seven this year. Lastly, Bang y/n, who is five this year. My dearest family.

Chan: Are you enjoying it kids?
Jisung: No!
Hyunjin: No? Why no Sungie?
Jisung:*whine* Want popcorn daddy!
Felix: Me too!
Hyunjin: Aren't you full from dinner?
Jisung: Want popcorn too. Please daddy.
Chan:*shake his head* Enough sweets for today kids.
Felix:*whine* Dada!
Jisung:*whine* Dada I wanna popcorn!
Hyunjin: Dada will make you one tomorrow kay?
Felix:*pout* Want now.
Jisung:*pout* Okay dada.

Y/n: Daddy, y/n/n tired.
Chan: Wanna sleep?
Y/n:*nod* Please.

Jisung:*shout* Sissy look!
Felix:*running* Swings!
Hyunjin:*shout* Lix! Don't run!

Y/n:*excited* Daddy! Daddy! Down please!
Chan: No running princess.

As I quickly chase Felix from running away further, my daughter zooms away from me. I glare at my husband for letting her down before chasing her again.

Hyunjin: Hyung! You better keep Sung for running!
Chan:*snicker* Sorry baby.

As I got a hold of them who run away before, I make sure my other son is with Chan hyung before walking towards the swings they wanna play with before.

Jisung:*excited* Daddy! Push please!
Felix: Me too! Me too!
Y/n:*jumping* Y/n/n want too!

Just like how other children are, not even ten minutes later, they got bored with swings and start to run again finding new games.

Hyunjin:*sigh* I'm tired hyung.
Chan:*chuckle* I suppose it's okay to let them run for a bit Jin.
Hyunjin: I guess so.

Chan:*realize* Wait *panic* where are they?!
Hyunjin:*shout* Sung? Lix? Y/n? Where are you kids?!

Y/n:*scream* Dada!
Felix:*scream* Daddy!
Jisung:*scream* Dada!

I run with all my might there but it's too late. A car, coming out of nowhere, hit my kids and sent them flying straight to the ground. As if it was all planned before, as soon as they realize they have hit them, they quickly back away and run from the scene. I was too shocked to do anything and only could kneel down beside their now weak bodies.

Hyunjin:*tremble* Sungie?

Hyunjin:*scared* Lixie?

Hyunjin:*disbelief* Y/n-ie?

Hyunjin:*cry* Da-dada is here.

Hyunjin:*shout* Answer dada baby!

My hands tremble. The sight in front of me sure is terrifying. My children are here but they can't even utter a single word. Their hands lifelessly search for mine, and even if they have touched mine, they still searches for me.

Hyunjin:*cry* Pl-please stay a-awake for da-dada baby.

Hyunjin:*shout**sob* Hyung!
Chan:*panic* The ambulance is coming!
Hyunjin:*sob* Hyung! They are not responding!
Chan:*tremble* They go-gonna b-be okay Jin.

The ambulance Chan hyung called come after some minutes passed and take my kids away from my embrace. They don't let me in the ambulance with my children and force me away from them.

Hyunjin:*shout* Let me stay with my kids!

I can feel that hyung is pulling me away from them and in our car that are parked near by. My tears can't stop flowing and my shouts can't seem to be quiet down.

Hyunjin:*cry* Hyung! Th-they ar-
Chan:*trying to stay calm* Th-they're gonna be okay. They are strong one, aren't they?
Hyunjin:*nod* Th-they are.
Chan: They gonna be fine Jinnie. They gonna be.

Author p.o.v

As soon as they arrived at the hospital, Hyunjin sprint the fastest he could to the emergency room. He try his best in peeking through the small gaps till he is, again, held back by his husband.

Hyunjin:*struggle* I wanna see them!
Chan:*calming Hyunjin down* They're gonna be fine baby. They are a strong one.

Even though Chan is saying all those, deep inside him he is shaking with fear. He can't imagine losing all his three children that he treasure. He really can't. He is in the verge of breaking down but he knows he need to to stay strong for his husband. Hyunjin needs his the most now.

Doctor: Parents of the children?
Hyunjin:*panic* I-its me!
Chan: How are they doctor?
Hyunjin: They gonna be fine right? Right?!

Doctor: We have done our best. We're sorry.

As they heard what the doctor said with face full of regrets, they break down right then and there. They can't function properly any longer. They push the doctor to the side and barged in the emergency room.

The sight is breaking their heart more and more. Their precious children are there, lying on the hard uncomfortable bed, looking so ever pale.

Chan has no more strength in his legs and fall to his knee. Hyunjin run to their side and shout their name as hard as he could. Both of them refuse to believe it.

They refuse to believe how cruel the reality is.

Author p.o.v

Hyunjin wakes up with cold sweat wetting his whole body after lots of turning, trembling, and shouts. He never had this terrible nightmare and he doesn't know how to calm himself down.

Chan:*sleepy* Jin? Are you okay?
Hyunjin: H-hyung.
Chan: Nightmare?
Hyunjin:*nod* Hyung, I'm scared.
Chan: Wanna tell me?
Hyunjin:*cry* I-it-
Chan: Take a deep breath first baby. I'm here.

Chan: It's okay.

With lots of difficulty, Hyunjin finally finish telling his horrible nightmare to his husband who held him close. There are lots of slurred words but Chan could understand what he is trying to tell him.

Chan: Let's check on them hm?
Hyunjin:*nod* Pl-please.
Chan: Its okay baby.
Hyunjin: I don't know hyung.
Chan: They're okay baby.

The couple went to their children's room and found them sleeping so soundly. Their twins are holding tightly onto their chosen toy that they want to go to bed with, while their daughter is gripping onto her teddy bear.

Chan: They are sleeping baby.
Hyunjin: They won't b-
Chan: It's okay. It's just a nightmare.
Hyunjin:*nod* Yeah, you are right hyung.
Chan: Go back to bed?
Hyunjin: Okay hyung.

Chan: I'll protect you from those nightmare Jinnie.
Hyunjin:*chuckle* How can you do it hyung?
Chan: I have my own way.

Does his nightmare only a simple nightmare? Or is it actually a warning from his future self?
