General POV:

The group had decided to pick up Florence and Wilbur and go play hide and seek tag in a forest. Like smart kids.

It had been Allister's idea, Toby agreed immediately while everyone else sighed sadly before going along with it.

Tommy thought it'd be a good idea for a vlog, so he had brought a camera.

As soon as they determined Toby as 'it', Tommy handed him the camera and everyone took off in random directions.

Allister had picked this forest because she was in the need for solitude in a place like this, there were small streams and lakes scattered around and some beautiful old statues. It had been lost in the few deserted articles about pretty places in England to visit.

She recognized the carvings in a willow from one of the pictures and spun in a slow circle, seeing the lilies of the valley, the ferns that grew almost up to her hip, all gathered in bunches around a messy path of stones leading to nowhere.

She stepped daintily across the scattered stones, forgetting the game of tag she was in the midst of. Small old ruins of stone fences turned into elaborate pastures with cattle milling around them before Allister's eyes. Her imagination soared, allowing her brain to envision beautiful fields before they were overgrown and taken back by Mother Nature.

And before she'd known it, Allister was staring at a cracked stone bench on the side of a small grove of ivy and statues.

The bleak and emotionless faces stared at her and she felt all the imaginative old stories her mind had spent care crafting shrivel and burn to ash as the white countenances watched all around her.

One stared at her. One stared at her feet. One watched the sky with a blind look of inquisition. Another searched behind her.

Allister followed the tall figure directly in front of her's gaze to her backside, seeing a medium-sized lake. Subconsciously, she pulled her arms in towards her body.

There was an oval shaped disturbance in the duckweed and lily pads that floated amidst the water.

Allister's imagination made itself present again, and she saw herself wading into the water, assuming the position of the disturbance in the water. It was as if it was meant for her.

The roots of the Elodea took hold of her hands, the duckweed coated her legs and the lily pads covered her mouth. They pulled her down to the depths quietly, peacefully, and she did not protest. She did not struggle. She let the weeds infect her body, taking her over and letting her drown, letting her live at the bottom of the lake.

Nobody would find her here, nobody would disturb her. She would die alone, content, finished. She would die perfectly.

Somewhere, in the depths, beyond her waking mind, a cat purred. Something was baking in the oven, and Allister pulled out a seat from a small table and gently rubbed the cat's head. She did not see the lake water leaking from the oven, did not know that behind her, elodea began to infest her kitchen and lake grasses made itself a new carpet. Algae grew like mold on her walls, but she did not realize. She did not see.

Tommy POV THIRD PERSON:
*^*

Two rounds had passed and nobody had seen Allister. Since he was 'it' now, he was determined to find her. His worry had bloomed into a flower at the pit of his stomach, and it was quickly growing, they weren't even supposed to wander very far.
