A/n: if you saw anything from me earlier no you didn't (you didn't, there weren't any reads so-) but anyway I had an epiphany while singing Mr. Brightside very obnoxiously (I am a good singer I was just singing loudly)

General POV:

Wilbur parked his car on the street outside Allister's house. He stepped up to the door of the house, hearing a muffled sound of music playing.

"Jesus, she must be blasting that." He muttered, pushing the door open.

Turns out his theories were correct, as the loud sound of 'Minority' hit his ears.

Wilbur sighed, closing the door quickly and walking into Allister's kitchen, seeing a bowl of fruit on the counter and Allister sitting with her legs up next to the bowl, reading. And singing. How the fuck does she do that.

"Allister! Turn the music down!" Wilbur shouted.

Allister glanced at him, before picking up her phone and turning the sound down drastically, though it was still a bit loud cause it was a speaker the phone was connected to.

"What are you even doing?" He laughed.

"Making reading 'It' less insufferable!" She exclaimed.

"Why the fuck are you reading It? Nobody reads It, they just say they did."

"Exactly! I'm gonna tell people 'I actually read It' and then nobody will believe me! I'm already 400 pages in, no turning back now amirite?"

"There's always turning back with It, it's like 1,200 pages." Wilbur chuckled softly.

"Something like that." Allister waved, dismissing his comment. "What did you want, again? I read your text but completely disregarded it."

A/n: I feel like I said the day was like August 20th maybe that was the last chapter I scrapped but I just went back and read some of Dreams to see if it was in there, it wasn't in the snippet I read, because I only read the part I liked lmao but anyway we'll pretend I never said that

"We're gonna go to a carnival! You, Ranboo, Tommy, Toby, Florence and I!" Wilbur clapped his hands.

"Sounds cool, why isn't Landon going with Florence? Aren't they like— dating?" Allister asked.

Wilbur's face fell a bit before he picked it back up and said something like "he has work" and some other mumbled nonsense.

It was like a lightbulb lit up over Allister's head. "You.. like Florence! Wilbur Soot, my own friend, faux father, fancies my best friend, who is dating my brother."

"I- well- no, that's not exactly— I take it you don't.. know. It's not that I like Florence, which could be possibly a tad bit true but that also might be because we're friends and anxiety and- you know. But it's not that I fancy Florence, it's that Landon doesn't."

"What?" Allister asked.

"It isn't that I like Florence it's that—"

"Landon doesn't. I heard you I just had to process it. This is going to tie back to the reoccurring dream I have where I'm 14 and Landon is drinking with my parents and their friends, isn't it." Allister sighed.

"...yeah."

"My brother's a fucking drunk. This is a great day. I'll get ready for the fair."

The actually rather loud sound of 'Don't Look Back in Anger' played from the speaker. Allister and Wilbur looked at each other before Allister turned the volume up again and they both belted the song.

*^*

"Opinions on Mumford & Sons, Wilbur?"

"Go for it." He replied.
