Life was good for Dani. For a whole year of not seeing nor communicating with her parents set her for a better mind. She's less nervous and has less anxiety because her grandparents were so amazing.

"So let's go watch Moana in the cinema! I heard it's nice and has great songs!"

"I hope it's not as wack as Froze. I can't believe people actually say that frozen is their favorite movie. Obviously Rupunzel is the best."

"Agreed."

"So today at 4:30? Local park near the Gionna store?"

"Yep. We'll see each other then!"

Dani her hair done, having soft curls and wore a cute outfit. She was always the girl on time but today she came early.

Looks like I have to wait a bit. Dani thought. Walking around she thought it was going to be a nice day today-

But no.

"Dani?"

She froze at the family voice, slowly turning around she saw-

Her parents.

Her father and mother had surprised expression on their faces. Dani felt her entire body stiff. Her heart beating fast as she tried not to freak out.

"It's been so long, Dani." Her mother smiled softly.

I'd like for it to be longer. Dani thought bitterly.

"You ... you cut your hair." Her mother said.

Dani couldn't breathe, was she going to-

"It suits you very well." She complimented.

Okay?

Dani was quiet, didn't say hello or anything.

"So, how are you? Are you waiting for someone?" Her father asked.

"My friends." Dani mumbled.

"Ah, your friends. That's nice."

Her parents never let her go out with friends. Ever.

This was really uncomfortable-"

"Dani! Over here!"

Thank god.

Dani tuned her head to see two of her fiends approaching her. One of them knew her situation with her parents so she immediately pulled her over.

"Let's go in and get the best seats!"

"Okay!"

Dani turned and decided to wave instead of saying goodbye. Her parents beamed and waved back.

Her grandmother was furious when she told them she saw her parents today however her grandfather said that maybe they were there coincidentally because from what Dani told them, they were as shocked to see her as she was.

With that her grandmother told her that her parents begged for them to see Dani at least once a month. So she suggested a half an hour visit to a cafe and meet up with her parents. But of course her grandparents will be around to monitor them.

It was uncomfortable and awkward. Not much of Dani talking about herself but just her listening as her parents tried to make this meet up not awkward.

Dani was fidgeting, picking her nails under the table and her leg moving up and down out of pure anxiety.

"So I heard you're traveling to Dubai for the violin competition?" Her mother asked.
