Chapter Fifty Five: Chaos has begun

"You're going away?"

"Ugh." Claude stumbled. Holding his head in his hand as his headache increased. Stumbling down and breaking a vase. It crashed and shattered on the floor.

"Jennette! JENNETTE!!"

A girl with brown hair and jeweled eyes ran by Claude's side.

"Father! Does your head hurt again?"

"Ugh... ."

"Father... ."

Rumors spread around the palace.

"What's happening?"

"His majesty is in such a state... ."

"He can barely manage everyday duties, let alone rule the country."

"The palace is so chaotic lately too."

"That rumor can't be real, right?"

"What rumor?"

Steps were heard. Jennette's face in horror and worry. Rain poured down as lightning was seen and thunder was heard.

"You haven't heard?"

"Heard what?"

Jennette was trembling. Asking her self what she should do.

"Don't go telling it anywhere."

"Jennette." A man with golden hair and jeweled eyes came out of the shadows.

"Leave this be, and let's go." He smirked.

Claude was on the floor as the pain increased. Lighting was struck.

"They say his majesty has been cursed."

"It's been said that his majesty has been cursed because of their deceased highnesses."

"You mean princesses Athanasia and Angelina with Prince Arthur? Poor kids, they weren't even written in the imperial family history tree."

"They said that the gods cursed his majesty for treating them as if they didn't exist!"

"Princess Angelina was assassinated on the day of her birthday at age 6."

"Oh my, so young! What did his majesty do?"

"Nothing. He didn't even bother making a funeral for her or a prep or burial."

"So heartless!"

"Prince Arthur was drowned as well. The poor boy didn't know how to swim and the lotus monsters took him do the depths of the lake!"

"No one would've known he was dead until Duke Ijekiel tired to get help."

"The poor boy saw him drown?"

"I heard he tried to save him but failed."

"Princess Athanasia's execution was horrible as well. It was the princess Jennette's aunt who poisoned her and framed the poor princess."
