Renn's pov

I was awoken this morning by a knock at the door. Before I answered I looked at my watch that was propped up on the night table next to the bed and realized that it was 7:30.

Fuck it's so early, I thought to myself.

I was hoping that whoever was knocking on my door wasn't Lucius I really wasn't in the mood to speak with him this early in the morning after our conversation last night.

I slowly peeled the covers off of my body and got off the bed. I dragged my bare feet across the cold floor towards the door while shivering. I really needed to get one of those house elves to get me a robe for mornings like this. I finally reached the door knob and started turning it with one hand while unlocking it with the other. As I opened it I was slightly panicked when I noticed white blonde hair as my eyes were still adjusting to being awake but when they fully adjusted relief washed over me as I realized the hair was short not long.

"Renn you look terrible.' The blonde boy stated as he barged through my door before I had a chance to respond. 'Shut the door quickly my parents and aunt can't know I'm in your room." He whispered while looking a tad anxious.

"Draco why are you whispering and why can't you be in my room?" I questioned the nervous looking boy as I shut the door and locked it. 'I just can't be they don't really want us interacting because they're saying it is going to mess up our training. At least that's what my mother says, my father and aunt say it's because the Dark Lord has bigger plans for you that I can't get in the way of." He said quietly while turning around and walking towards my bed.

I visibly paled as he propped up some pillows and motioned for me to come over and sit with him but I couldn't move. My feet were planted on the floor along with my eyes like I was frozen. I couldn't even respond to him all I could think about was if they told him what the plan was or not.

"Renn come here, what's going on ?" He exclaimed in a worried tone. I quickly snapped my eyes to his pale blue ones.

Relief quickly washed over me as I started walking slowly towards the bed remembering that no one was to know about what the Dark Lord had planned for Lucius and I.

"Nothing is going on Draco, I'm just doing some extra training with your father but I'm not sure what that plan is right now. No one will tell me what's going on either." I said while sitting in front of him on the bed, avoiding looking into his eyes. I knew I was lying but it was for all of our safety's. Not to mention he surely wouldn't understand.

"You're lying to me, I can see it on your face. Every time you lie your mouth twitches at the corners and you look anywhere on my face but my eyes.' He said while scowling. 'I'm not lying Draco I don't honestly know what the long term plan is but I do know something that I can't tell you." I said while quickly getting up off of the bed, trying to avoid looking at him.

"Why can't you tell me ? Renn it's not like I'm going to say anything to anyone." He said while standing up also and pacing over towards me.

I looked up at the tall, lanky blonde boy standing in front of me. Our height difference was not intimidating to me usually but today as he was staring down at me something felt off. He seemed very on edge.

"Draco can you just back up a bit. There is such a thing called personal space.' I said while trying to back away from him. He got the message and took a step back in the opposite direction as well but now he was glaring at me. 'Draco I can't tell you what I know because it affects all of our safety's.' I said while trying to stand tall and appear confident. 'Who's s-s-safety ?"Draco stuttered out as he paled.

I took a deep breath as I finally looked into his pale blue eyes. "All of us. You, your mother, father, aunt and myself." I managed to spit out without stuttering or bursting into a puddle of tears.
