Lovers Spat

Renn's Pov

I immediately started sprinting down the hallway looking for Lucius' room.

Once I reached it I noticed the door was slightly ajar. I hastily pushed my way inside of it but was disappointed to find that he wasn't in there.

I quickly left the room and made my way downstairs. Once I got to the bottom I noticed Draco asleep on the couch. Thank Merlin because I definitely didn't want him to hear the words I had for his father.

After looking around the kitchen and the living room I realized that Lucius was no where to be found on the main level either so I figured he would be outside probably checking on the wards.

I made my way to the front of the house and opened the door looking around for him. He wasn't there either. I was puzzled for a moment and growing increasingly more agitated at not being able to locate him.

Then I remembered that this wasn't like the cottage. We weren't just in the middle of no where. There was more than one door that lead to the outside because there was a backyard.

I quietly but speedily made my way to the back door and opened it.

To my luck he was outside by the back wards looking out at the tree line behind the house.

Almost as if he sensed my presence he turned and looked at me.

He warily lifted a pale brow at me as he watched me stride closer and closer to him until I was standing in front of him. I was sure that steam was literally coming out of my ears at this point.

"We need to talk." I somehow managed to say calmly or at least what I thought was calmly but immediately seemed to put him on edge.

"What is it that you wish to converse about ?" He replied nonchalantly.

I huffed out a sarcastic laugh. "Oh this isn't going to be a very pleasant conversation so perhaps you should cast some protective enchantments around us so Draco doesn't walk in on this." I ground out hardly keeping it together at this point.

He wandlessly cast a see-me-not charm and a silencing spell while keeping his eyes on me the entire time. Probably trying to decipher what I was so mad about.

Well he was about to find out.

"So I've just read an interesting passage about something.' His eyebrows furrowed slightly before one arched at me as if telling me to 'go on'. 'And I just really want to know...were you ever planning on telling me about the blood bond that we share ?"

His body immediately stiffened as his eyes shot wide and his mouth dropped open slightly in shock.

Usually he would try to keep his composure but he seemed genuinely befuddled at what I was confronting him about.

"How do you-who told you-where did yo-"

He started stuttering out a response but I quickly cut him off.

-"how did I figure it out ?' He closed his mouth and nodded his head. 'Well I knew there was a lot you weren't telling me so I took the book that had information about the serpentine charm out of your things and noticed a small subsection on the serpentine charm and blood bonds."

I made sure to leave Draco's name out of things as I was waiting for him to get mad at me over going through his things but he still looked like he was in shock that I even knew any of this in the first place.

"Imagine my surprise when I read about that fact that if two people have a blood bond actually to be more technical if it is a soulmate bond-did you know we were soulmates by the way ?' I questioned sarcastically as I practically snarled at him. Before he had a chance to say anything I continued. 'Well anyways we are ! And that's why the serpentine charm also showed up on your wrist ! But you knew all of this already because you've been fucking lying to me for months !" I was so grateful for the charms in place because I was now screaming not being able to hold in the anger any longer.
