Renn's Pov
It had been a week since I had slept with Lucius. I had hardly left my room that whole time due to running out of the potion he had brewed me for my morning sickness. I don't know why they call it morning sickness because I'm sick at all points of the day. Lucius had been sending Tippy to check up on me but I was too stubborn to tell her I was out of the potion. I didn't want to see Lucius after what he said to me that night and then had the audacity to use me for sex in my emotional state.
I have also missed all of my lessons with him this past week. The Dark Lord is not pleased with that according to Tippy but I don't care. I can't sit through a lesson when I feel like I'm going to puke my stomach out at any given moment.
It doesn't help that I also didn't want to be around Lucius. Clearly the feeling was mutual as he wasn't even checking on me himself he was just sending his house elf.
My plan to ignore him was going well too until tonight at least.
I woke up sweating and panicking from a rather horrific nightmare. I hadn't had one in a whole week but tonight they returned with vengeance.
When I have these nightmares I dream about the same thing, my baby being sacrificed by the Dark Lord and it is starting to freak me out.
I didn't wake up screaming this time though, so my room was empty. No sign of Lucius running to check up on me like he usually did.
My heart was racing and in that moment I decided I really didn't want to be alone, so against my better judgement I climbed out of my bed and lightly stepped on the floor trying to not make a lot of noise. I had to go see him. He was the only one who understood my circumstance right now.
I padded my way across the cold floor until I grabbed my door handle. I carefully peaked my head out of the doorway, checking the hallway to make sure I was alone before swiftly making my way to Lucius' study.
I knocked on the door but I didn't receive a reply. In that moment I decided I didn't care and opened the door. But to my surprise his study was completely empty, which only meant one thing. He was in his bed.
I had never been in Lucius' room and I was very nervous but I didn't want to go back to my own room as this nightmare was not sitting right with me.
It was like my feet had a mind of their own because as soon as I decided I was going to wake him up I was already standing in front of his bedroom door.
Instead of knocking I opened the door just a crack so I could glance inside and make sure that no one else was in the room besides him.
I was blessed with the sight of a shirtless Lucius, his abdominal muscles flexing every time he breathed in. Long strands of his blonde hair were spread out onto his pillow. Thin lips parted slightly as light breaths escaped them indicating that he was asleep.
I pushed the door open enough to allow my body to get through and then I closed it gently behind me while muttering a spell to lock it. I slowly crept my way over to the bed, careful to not wake him up until I was standing over him.
The only light in his room was the moonlight peering in from his half opened velvet curtains. I couldn't make out much of the room other than his large four poster bed and his sheets and blanket being black. He practically glowed on them. Pale skin illuminating in the moonlight. He was the definition of beauty.
