"I'm glad we all passed the first part..." breathed Rie.
"Well, for all hundred of you who passed the first test, please watch this," Mera's voice came through the speakers, the students turning to the large screen in the centre of the hall, displaying the buildings they were previously in being blown up, "the next test will be the last one. We will have you all perform rescue exercises as bystanders in this disaster site."
"'Bysliders'?" echoed Mineta and Kaminari in sync.
"Bystanders," corrected Hakagure, "they're people who happen to be at the scene. We learnt this in class, remember?"
"It can also refer to ordinary citizens," added Yaoyorozu, gazing up.
"We will assume that those of you who have passed the first test have already received your Provisional Licenses and test how well you can carry out suitable rescue procedures," he continued.
"There are people in there," muttered Shoji.
"Huh?! Elderly and children?! What are they doing there?"
"They are people who've gone undergone training to be professional people-in-need-of-rescue and are in high demand right now," he explained, "the Help Us Company, or H.U.C. for short."
"Organisations like that exist?" muttered Jiro in disbelief.
"Anything's possible now, I suppose..." murmured Sero.
"The people from H.U.C. have dressed up as injured victims and are on standby throughout the disaster site," he continued, "we will now have you all carry out their rescue. In addition, we will score your rescue based on points and if you have more points than the benchmark at the end of the exercises, then you pass. We will start in ten minutes, so please use the bathroom and take care of any other necessary businesses right now."
"Midoriya..." muttered Iida, walking up to the said boy.
"Yeah... I wonder if this is based on Kamino Ward..."
"The situations are similar," he elaborated, "back then, we were focused on getting Rie and Bakugo far away from the Villains... and staying out of the way of the Pros."
"In the process, there were many casualties..."
"Shiketsu's coming this way," Kirishima perked up mid-bite of a loaf of bread.
"Bakugo," the leader stated.
"Hah?"
"Did you see Shishikura, the guy whose eyes look like slits?"
There's a lot of hair... thought the boy.
"Yeah, I knocked him out.
"That's what I thought..." he muttered, "he probably acted rudely and probably offended you... he has a tendency to impose his own values onto others and probably couldn't help himself after seeing you, seeing as you're pretty famous. I'd like to build a good relationship with U.A., if I could, and I apologise on his behalf..."
'Good relationship', huh...
Todoroki frowned, calling out to Inasa.
"You, with the shaved head..." he called out, "did I do something to you?"
He stopped in his tracks, perplexing the boy as his cap covered his eyes, a dark expression falling over his face.
A tense silence hung in the air between them.
"Well, I'm sorry, Endeavor's son," he began, the girl swearing under her breath as Midoriya held his, "but I hate you both. You've changed a bit since then, but your eyes are the same as his."
