Ecstatic conversations echoed throughout the cave dinner hall as the half-starved royal family eagerly awaited their big yearly feast that they'd looked forward to having. Sentwaki was the one who was mostly looking forward to this as he was the most starving in the entire family. Or so he thought.

Being a Prince of the Pride Lands meant he should've been able to have all the access to food that he wanted except that the other animals were starving because of the drought and the fact that it was almost winter. And they were dying. Which meant less food.

His mother cooed, "Sentwaki. What are you looking forward to eating?" He turned his head. His mother, Uru laughed and she smiled, "Anything right?" Sentwaki nodded quite fast. He was starving. And that meant starving.

His father turned to him, a paw on his mother's own paw, "Sentwaki. Can you tell your brother to hurry up and bring in the food? Or just bring it in yourself?" Sentwaki got up, wiped his paws and left before he saw his brother, Mufasa, shortly down the stairs pulling up a ribcage full of food to the cave. Carcasses of animals, fruits, chicken, birds, lots and lots of fish. The drought was ending.

"This should last us a little while." Mufasa huffed. Being the elder brother, Mufasa had these duties. And to be honest, Sentwaki was jealous. His parents favoured him more. And things like this, ticked him off. He was a Prince of Pride Rock. Sure, his brother was going to be king before him. And he hated it.

"Bring the food up quicker. Mother and Father are getting petty right now." Sentwaki sighed. Mufasa gave a yawn and continued to push the ribcage all the way up the stairs by himself. Standing at the top of the stairs made Sentwaki feel more in control then he'd ever been. He felt more powerful when his brother was in pain. Sure it was a little mean.. but Sentwaki couldn't face the fact that he hated his brother. More than he hated the fact that he wasn't going to be King until his brother died.

"Go inside, Sentwaki. I'll be there shortly." huffed Mufasa. Sentwaki made it inside and then about five minutes later, Mufasa brought the ribcage to show the whole family. His father, Ahadi laughed, "Good job, Mufasa!" Hearing his brother's name made him squirm with utter disgust. Not only did his brother bully him on occasions but he also teased him that he was going to be King before him.

Uru, his mother called for Mufasa as she told Sentwaki to move over and let Mufasa sit next to her instead. So Sentwaki did. And he was purely disgusted. And yes, this did make Sentwaki hate him more. For he knew, if his brother was alive, he would never get the attention of his parents. Ever. "Of course, Mother. Mufasa is the favourite after all." groaned Sentwaki aloud.

"Not everything has to be an argument, you know." huffed Mufasa from where his father was feeding him a piece of meat.

"Yes, your excellency. But I can tell you that you're wrong in seven different languages which gives me the advantage here." croaked Sentwaki.

The next morning, Sentwaki gasped for air. Another nightmare. His eyes slowly opened, his divine masculine body stretched as he woke up. One thing that he had that Mufasa did not for once. A good proper Lion's body. To make it worse, Sentwaki was nothing like any of his ancestors on his fathers side.

Which made him look like his mother. A black and brown lioness. Unlike Mufasa, who was perfect in every way and the Kingdom's favourite Lion. Sentwaki took a deep breath. He was finally relaxed and ready to take whatever the day hit him with. But when he got up, something was not right. Something felt...wrong. He studied around the small dimly lit area in the cave. He couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. He examined it closer again. Still nothing. He looked around it once more very hard and finally he saw it. Something so terrifying, it took a few moments for his brain to comprehend what it was.

This was not his cave.

A voice said booming, "You're awake. God, you take forever to wake up. I see you've realised where you are, Prince Sentwaki. But you do not know why you are here. I'm here to make sure that something happens. That you learn something. That you'll never be the King of Pride Rock."

Oh no.

Mufasa.
