Marissa took herself to the kingdom that was nearby when she was sixty years old and she ordered the guards to be let inside. When they did not, when she said that she knew of the legend of the child, that their Queen had given birth to, the guards froze and let her in. Anyone that spoke of the baby, would be let in right away.
Marissa then told the court what she thought of this 'miracle.' The fateful story of how the Queen couldn't have a child, and how she got very sick, and finally had the child by the healing of a very special flower. Marissa finally foretold that the child would grow to defeat an old woman wearing black and white, with a heart of stone.
Marissa prophesied that the flower would be powerless once love got in the way, and the love would die, and so would the old woman, and the baby's strength. It was a prophecy that her own mother had told her when she was just a child.
"Away with you, you witch. You know nothing of this flower and the Princess. The Princess will live a beautiful life and you, you old woman, will condemn a life full of hate and despair. Away, away, away!" scolded and commanded the King who shooed Marissa away and from that moment she vowed to come back and strike anew.
So, Marissa went and she plotted how she would make them pay. That night, when the kingdom was asleep, Marissa went into the Princess's room and stroked the child's cheek, whilst she was asleep. She then proceeded to take out some scissors and cuts lock of golden hair from the child.
Then she snuck out the window and stole the baby. Marissa brought the child to a tower, and renamed herself Mother Gothel. Marissa sat the child on her lap, and the child's hair started to flow and glow as she sung:
"Flower, gleam and glow.
Let your power shine.
Make the clock reverse.
Bring back what once was mine.
What once was mine."
