Chapter 4: Training begins

I was looking out the airship windows. The night lights were so beautiful below. I was fascinated with every little thing. This is what life should be about. Happiness.
My mind was interrupted with thoughts of reality. The Spy Academy will be after us. I need to learn how to fight better. I need to learn to defend us both. It seems that Killua is very strong but I don't want to keep relying on him every time.

"So where do you want to go first?" Killua asked.

"To be honest, it doesn't matter. Just away from here," I said to him. Anywhere with him. I'll go anywhere with him.

"There's nothing in particular you want to do?" 

"Hmm.. well I do want to work on my hand to hand combat skills. So I was wondering......if you could train me?" I asked shyly.

"I won't," Killua said.

"Why not??" I asked, disappointed.

"I know someone better suited for that. We'll fly there first. But for now get some rest, you'll need it," he laughed mischievously.

I wasn't sure what he was up to or what he meant by that but he was right, I definitely needed some rest.

We finally landed in an area with only a few houses on a grassy hill. Next to the houses were rocky land. We got out the airship. Who lives here? I wondered to myself. We knocked on the door of a pretty pink house and a little girl with a blonde ponytail and bright eyes answered. She was wearing a cute pink dress. When she saw Killua, she immediately punched him in the face causing him to go flying to the sky.

"Oh my god!!!" I yelled. What the ffff- is going on?!! She's so scary!!!

"THATS FOR NEVER VISITING ME KILLUA!!" She yelled.

"DAMNIT YOU OLD HAG! IT'S NICE TO SEE YOU TOO!!" Killua yells angrily as he rubs his cheek that may or may not leave a bruise tomorrow.

Old hag?! She looks 12!!

"QUIT CALLING ME THAT YOU BRAT!!"

BISKEY'S POV
"Oh! You brought a friend! Hello you can call me Bisky!" I said with a smile on my face.

Oooo...a girl huh. Who is this girl? And where is Gon I wonder.

"Hi Ms. Bisky, my name is (Y/N). It's a pleasure to meet you." She said to me. She was wearing a plain blue T-shirt and long black shorts. Her face was very pretty and she was extremely polite. She had (h/l) (h/c) that was a bit of a mess. I could tell she's a tough girl, she's been through a lot.

"Oh enough with the formalities. Just call me Bisky."
That damn Killua making her think I'm old. Is that why she called me Ms.?!

Y/N POV
"Sooo, Y/N needs some training. Do you think you're able to do it?" Killua asks Bisky.

"Of course!" She says excitedly.

"Thank you so much Bisky!!" I say.

"Oh don't thank me yet. This won't be easy. Are you up for it?"

"Yes!! I need all the training I can get. I need this training. So I can be as strong as Killua. So I can be strong for both of us..." I said.

"Hmph," Bisky smiled.

We talked about staying at Bisky's house for as long as I needed training. Killua and I would be sharing the spare room. There was a couch and a bed in that room, I would be taking the bed and Killua would take the couch. Of course, we also wouldn't stay too long because we didn't want the Academy tracking us down somehow. From growing up there, I learned that they are amazing at tracking and finding people. I'm not sure how they do it. I just assume it is someone's strong ability in the academy.

We started training that day. We went out on the field. It was a canyon type setting, full of rocks and open fields to train. Killua sat to the side while Bisky brought along a companion. "This is Ken. He will be training you with your hand to hand combat skills. Once I feel you're ready, you'll train with me."

Okay sure. I really couldn't complain. 

"So (Y/N) let's see what you got. Fight Ken like your life depends on it. You can use your water abilities and whatever hand to hand combat skills you're able to do," she said with her hands on her hips.

I started with the first move. I whipped out my water and began to fight as I usually would. I was a bit nervous because I haven't been in too many fights. I was also nervous about Bisky and Killua watching me. I knew they were top notch so I definitely was going to be embarrassing myself.
Bisky sat there watching me then looked over at Killua. "Killua! If you think you're going to sit there and just watch you're delusional. 500 push-ups NOW!"

Killua angrily hissed at Bisky as he got down to the ground and started doing push-ups.

I was distracted laughing and got punched straight to the face and fell to the ground.
"Hey! No fair Ken. I wasn't ready!" I said with my hand over my face.

"In real battle, being distracted and losing focus could cost you your life. You need to be ready at all times," Ken said sternly.

I took a deep breathe, got up, and began fighting again. Let's just say I got my ass kicked for a whole hour.

Bisky observed this fight carefully as she suddenly told Ken to take a break. He bowed to her and walked away.

"(Y/N), I know what's wrong with your fighting style. You rely too much on your abilities. It probably feels natural and comfortable for you since it's an innate ability but... let's start again. This time, do not use your water at all. Once you get better with hand to hand combat, we'll incorporate your water skills. In a way, your water is actually holding you back from improving your combat skills. So let's work on combat alone. No water, got it?!" Bisky says enthusiastically with a wide smile across her face.
"Got it.."

Throughout the days, I didn't use my water abilities. I fought with only punches and kicks until my body couldn't move. Killua was there for every ass kicking. He stood there watching me and telling me I did a great job after, which I never believed. I didn't start seeing improvement until a week in. Once I was finally able to at least land a hit on Ken, Bisky made me start incorporating my water abilities. My body ached. My muscles ached. I worked hard, day and night to master some of my skills in fighting.

"Your water is only an extension of you and your combat. This is why it held you back before. You weren't looking at your water like it's a part of you and your body. You need to make your combat and water abilities flow together and complement each other in battle instead of thinking of combat and water as two separate things!!"  Bisky explained to me.

That's when it finally clicked. I finally understood after over working my body.
