"These don't taste like La-La's cookies" Megan remarked as the three of us were eating the cookies Don brought with him.
"Yeah, these taste like Chips Ahoys" I agreed with her. "No, no, I sat right there in the kitchen and watched grandma bake them just yesterday" Don quickly told us.
Mom and I shared a confused look on how Don reacted so nervously.
"I like them" Dylan told him.
Brad, dad and grandpa were in the living room, drinking beers.
"Is Dylan coming today?" Mom asked me. "Yeah, he's on his way" I smiled at mom. I liked how mom never had a problem with Dylan and me dating, unlike dad.
He still thinks I'm some irresponsible kid who doesn't know anything.
"Brad, stop!" Dad raised his voice at Brad. "Is Brad crying like a little bitch again?" I asked them from the kitchen. "Yeah, he is" grandpa chuckled as dad glared at him.
"I'll get it, I'll get it" I rushed to the door as soon as I heard the doorbell. I swung the door open to reveal a grinning Dylan.
"Hey baby" he grinned at me as I hugged him. "I missed you" I mumbled. "I missed you more" he said while kissing my neck.
I pulled my head away and gave him a kiss, to which he pulled me even closer. "By the way" I pulled away from our kiss, but still keeping our faces close.
"What baby?" He hummed. "My grandpa is here, remember?" I asked him, to which he nodded in response. "Him and my dad don't get along well, so prepare for that" I warned him.
"Is he as overprotective as your dad?" He asked me. "I don't know actually" I shrugged at him. "Angel, get in here" grandpa yelled from the living room.
"Come on" I pulled Dylan inside, closing the door behind him and dragging him with me to the living room.
"Who's this?" Grandpa asked, looking at Dylan confused. "This is Dylan, my boyfriend" I introduced them.
"Nice to meet you" Dylan held his hand out to grandpa Kurt. "I'm not Dusty, you don't have to act like that with me" grandpa laughed, high fiving his outstretched hand.
"I'm booking an Airbnb for all of us for Christmas. What do you say, Dylan?" Grandpa asked Dylan. "No, no, no-" "Yes, please" I interrupted dad while Dylan stood there awkwardly.
"Booked it! All done" grandpa told us. "Yay, el padre!" Both Megan and Dylan jumped up in the air. "Told you it was a good name" I told grandpa.
"It's gonna be so fun since we're all such great friends, huh" grandpa laughed. "Is it tho?" Dylan whispered to me.
6 days until Christmas.. "Off to the mountains" Brad said excitedly while we were packing the suitcases in the cars.
"Who's gonna go in which car, dad?" I asked him. "I was thinking D and I could just take my car" I suggested, smiling innocently at him.
