1978 August __________________ ׂׂૢ་༘࿐

Y/N was forced to come home as soon as the wedding period was over, it was now the middle of August and both, Y/N and Alexander had been stuffed away in their rooms. Yet, one very fateful day, the 27th of August 1978 to be specific, at 14:53 to be pedantic in military time, they were both called down to the drawing room by their parents.

"Your children." Tatiana nodded towards M/N, who was scolding her husband in front of them – note to anyone who believes they want children (ew), never insult or degrade your partner in front of them, it makes them believe they can do the same – she soon demanded tea to be made up.

Tatiana quickly scuttled away to go fetch the family more tea, Y/N took a seat next to her father, Alexander took the seat next to her – this was the first time he bothered even going near her voluntarily for months. He tried to be shielded by her figure, yet none of that worked as she simply kept moving closer to her parents.

"Alexander." F/N called.

"Yes sir." Alexander nodded.

"Stand." M/N demanded, glaring at her son. "Stand in front of us, you are on trial."

Tatiana entered the room with scones and three cups for tea, she removed the two between M/N and F/N for washing. She gave Alexander a pitiful look before leaving as swiftly as she had come.

Alexander stood and walked to the centre of the room, in front of his parents and little sister, he stood with his hands behind his back and his shoulders tall – yet none of his preparation could aid him in what he was about to experience.

"Turn." Madam L/N insisted, a vicious expression on her face, and no particular expression on her husbands.

Alexander turned around, she made humming noises and scrutinised him.

"No polyjuice potion visually," F/N uttered. "What was the gift we gave you for your fifth birthday?"

"You didn't get me a gift on my fifth birthday." Alexander spat out. "Tatiana gave me a gift 'from you', it was a tie, grey and green." F/N and M/N seemed calm, aloof even, and simply poured themselves and Y/N a tea.

"Here." F/N handed Y/N her tea and a scone with cream.

"So no polyjuice." M/N said to F/N.

"Seems like this is him." F/N sighed before taking a sip of his tea.

"We could always obliviate him." M/N suggested. "Or the cruciatus curse would work nicely."

"Better a paraplegic over mud-blood lover." F/N nodded.

"Even just getting him in the asylum for hysteria would be preferable." M/N smiled at her husband. "You've finally come up with a good idea to keep this family together."

"Or we could let him go." F/N shrugged.

"Why would we do that?" M/N furrowed her eyebrows. "Simply distasteful."

"Well, it would mean we not only get the sympathy from the others, but also we get to kill him if need be – he's a weak boy, it wouldn't take much." F/N yawned lightly, applying jam to a scone.

Y/N just sat there, she watched as her brother was being inspected by her parents, judged and poked at, how could she ever forgive herself? She couldn't drink her tea, nor eat the scone on her plate, she simply stared at her brother, who glanced back every now and then. Despair and regret swirled within those eyes; to lose a girlfriend is tough, but they come and go, sisters may leave and never return, you may never get another.
