tom was away for work again. you spent a lot of our time away from each other, but it had become normal for the relationship. "hey love, how you been?" tom's charming smile met my eyes through my phone. "i'm good, how's you?" i smiled. "i miss you." he sighed, rubbing his eyes. "where are you?" i asked, noticing him walking through somewhere.
"i went for a walk, kinda needed some time away from the set." he informed me, sending a reassuring smile.
we had been talking for a while, and i had noticed he was now inside a building, so i thought he was heading back to the set. but my train of thought was interrupted by a knock on my door. "one minute, someone's at the door." i smiled, jumping up to answer it. i walked into the living room, noticing the dog barking on the sofa. "tessa, stay." i warned, as i unlocked the door.
i stood shocked at the sight in front of me. there tom stood, smiling as always. "hey love." he grinned at me, my jaw hanging open. "you gonna let me in?" he tilted his head slightly. i moved out of the way, still trying to comprehend what was happening. "hey tessa! you been a good girl?" he praised his dog, fussing her. "how?" i questioned, still shocked. he smirked. "y/n, darling, i have my ways. now come here." he opened his arms, which i gladly made my way into, wrapping my arms around his torso. i breathed in his scent, smiling to myself, happiness flooding the pair of us. "i missed you." i mumbled into his chest, causing too to chuckle. "i missed you more." he grinned, grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards the sofa.
"cuddle with me?" he asked, raising an eyebrow slightly. i nodded, laying on the sofa with the man laid on my chest. i ran my fingers through his hair, watching as he closed his eyes, happily.
it felt like home.
