i was sat outside the garrison, with a cigarette between my lips. things weren't great at the moment. thomas was so busy, and the stress had him avoiding me, scared he would turn his current anger into a massive argument. i blew out the smoke, sighing as i leant my head back against the wall. "hey y/n, you alright?" finn asked, as he walked past, stopping in front of me. i smiled up at him. "of course, finn. your brothers and polly are inside." i reassured, the boy nodding before heading towards the door. "finn lad, don't go drinking too much." i heard thomas warn him, as he exited the pub. my eyes were on the cigarette that was currently in between my fingers, not daring to start something that could take a turn and end badly. tommy stood in front of me, looking down. "do you need something, thomas?" i asked, my gaze still glued to the cigarette. he sat down next to me, sighing. "you got a match?" he asked, placing a cigarette between his lips. "polly took my last." he reasoned. i nodded, handing him the box, before inhaling the tobacco again.
"y/n, i'm sorry how things have turned out recently." he said quietly. i nodded, standing up, flicking the end of the cigarette on the floor. as i attempted to leave, tommy grabbed my wrist, pulling me towards him. "i'm serious, y/n. none of this is your fault. i've been an arse i know. and i'm going to fix this." i didn't know what to say to the man, as this behaviour was rather uncommon for him. "say something, y/n." he practically begged, looking up at me. "i don't know what to say, tommy." i sighed, looking at him. he blew the smoke out, looking at his feet. he looked exhausted. exhausted from arguing, from stress, from his own mind. he stood up, abruptly, wrapping one arm around my waist. "tommy what are you-" i was cut off by his lips being pressed against mine. i eased into the kiss, pulling away when my lungs started burning from the lack of air. he rested his forehead against mine. "i'm gonna change things, okay?" i nodded, sending him a small smile.
