"Ishqi" Ahaan nudged her, "Kuch bolo na please, you're scaring me"- Ahaan said and Ishqi turned to look at him, "Kyun? Mein bhoot houn?"- Ahaan chuckled, "Nahi mera woh matlab nahi tha, woh toh"
Ishqi cut him off, "Nahi chod ke jaogi" - She announced much to Rhea's dismay, "I'm sorry Rhea but mein yeh nahi kar sakti!" Ishqi said as she squeezed Ahaan's hand.
Rhea now felt defeated, "P-Par mera kya hoga?! M-Meri life toh spoil-"
She was cut off by Dadi who'd entered the room and had been watching the scene for a good four minutes now. "Teri life kharab nahi hone doungi mein Rhea puttar!"
Ahaan: D-Dadi aap? Aap kab aye?
Dadi: Tabhi jab tum dono besharmi ki saare hadde paar kar rahe the! Ahaan puttar! Kon sa jadoo kar diya hai iss kalli billi ne tere upar!
Ahaan: Dadi, please- mein Ishqi ke baare mein koi bhi aisi waisi baat nahi sunnuga!
Kartik: Dadi, jab apne saab sunn bhi liya hai aur dekh bhi liya hai toh aap seedha point pe aao na, baaton ko ghoomao mat!
Dadi: Chup kar khotte! Aur Ahaan tu! Meine tere se yeh umeed nahi ki thi! Tu Rhea ko dhoka kaise de sakta hai?!
Ahaan: Dadi, mein Rhea ko dhoka nahi de raha, I love Ishqi and mein usske saath rehna chahata houn! Meine break-up karliya hai Rhea se aur apologize bhi!
Sonu: Dadi, agar bhai ko Rhea ke liye feelings nahi hai toh uss mein unn ki kya galti? Feelings aur pyaar force nahi kiya jaata, woh buss hojata hai!
Dadi: Lekin mein Rhea ke ilava kissi aur ko apni bahu nahi maanugi!
Ahaan: Dadi, aap ko time chahiye na, toh lijiye! Mein aur Ishqi kon sa abhi shaadi kar rahe hai! Lekin meri life mein Ishqi will be the only girl!
Dadi: Jitna bhi waqt guzar jai, yeh ladki Malhotra khandan ki bahu nahi baan sakti!
Ahaan: Dadi, mere liye sirf Ishqi hai...koi aur na toh woh jagah le sakta hai aur na hi mein woh jagah kissi aur ko dounga!
Ishqi was proud of her Ahaan, he was so firm and confident in his decision to be with her that tears emerged in her eyes as she thought of how lucky she was to have him.
Dadi: Par iss bechari Rhea ka kya?!
Ahaan: Jaha tak Rhea ki baat hai, mein jaanta houn ke iss ke saath galat hua hai and I'm sorry for that. But aur galat tab hoga agar mein kissi aur ka hoke bhi Rhea ke saath ek jhoote rishte mein rahoun! Humare beech saab kissi na kissi din toh khatam hona hi tha and it's better to end things sooner than later!
Rhea ran from the room crying, seeing all the arguments in her favour overpowered by Ahaan's love and desire to be with Ishqi. "Rhea puttar!" Dadi called out to her but she'd already left!
Dadi: AHAAN?! Tujhe choose karna pareyga! Mujhe yah phir iss ladki ko!
Ishqi's eyes widened, she'd never wanted it to come to this nor did she want Ahaan to ever have to choose between his family and her- she couldn't let him! Not after she knew how much he loved them!
Disheartened at the demand Dadi had put forward Ishqi tugged on her hand, in an attempt to have it released from Ahaan's hold but he held it even tighter. "FINE! Agar aap yehi chahati hai toh then so be it!" Ahaan said, saddened at his grandma's demand.
Ahaan: Ishqi! I choose Ishqi! I would choose to walk away with Ishqi and live a life of love rather than bear your toxicity every single day! he announced and even though Ishqi usually wouldn't understand his hi-fi english, this time she did! Each and every single word of it.
Dadi's eyes widened, "Y-Yeh tu kya bol raha hai puttar?! Tu iss kal ki ayi hui ladki ke liye apni Dadi ko chod ke jaiga?!"
Ahaan: Gi! Kyunke jiss ko aap "kal ki ayi hui ladki" keh rahi hai na, ussi ladki ke paas mein waqai mein khush hota houn, apni real feelings and emotions show kar pata houn! Free feel karta houn! Aur aap, aap kya karte ho? Humesha mere dimaag mein "society" ke rules dalti rehti hai! Baar baar meri maa ke baare mein yaad dila ke mujhe emotionally blackmail karti hai! Yeh pyaar nahi hota Dadi, isse ego kehte hai!
Ahaan finished ranting and left the room with Ishqi leaving behind a dumbstruck Dadi and two pleased siblings who were proud of their brother for standing up for himself and his love.
As they left the room Ishqi jumped into Ahaan's embrace and gave him a tight hug, this was the beginning of their new forever!

(Maasa isn't bad in my story hence he did not inflict any violence upon Maasi ;)
Ishqi and Ahaan started dating, Ishqi moved out of her Maasa and Maasi's house and Ahaan and her rented an luxurious apartment in which they both lived happily.
SoRaj got married without any hassles, IshqAan attended their marriage as a couple and a few months later Dadi found it in her heart to accept them.
A year later they got engaged and married two months after that- a firm stand by Ahaan granted the two togetherness and even though their married life wasn't all peaches and cream, they still made it work because they loved each-other and were together.
"Na jaane kab woh rishta baan gaya, koi anjaana na jaane kab apna baan gaya, humein ehsaas bhi na hua aur, koi humari zindagi ki zaroorat baan gaya!" ✨
