===============================================================================

Ishqi, once a chirpy and bubbly soul- now turned cold and reserved. Ishqi hadn't suffered less in these two years, as much as she tried to forget, the harsh words Ahaan used for her always found a way back and rang like bells in her head.

Ishqi was sick and tired of that, she wanted to move on from what she considered a dreadful past. The man she'd loved deeply had accused her of cheating on him~ He hadn't listened to one thing she had to say in her defence- once again, he broke her trust after he'd promised he wouldn't.

"Ahaan"- she hated him, the love she had for him slowly turned into hate as his poisonous words started eating her from the inside. Whenever he crossed her mind, anger rose from within her, in the end, thinking of him always brought back bitter memories.

Ishqi had thousands of pent up emotions she needed to vent out but couldn't find the power or courage to do so, maybe because she knew once she did the part of Ahaan she'd been holding onto would be gone. And besides, she had to be strong for her Maasi and mother-in-law who she considered above just that.

Ishqi was now financially wealthy, a year ago she'd rekindled her friendship with a childhood friend of hers named Zayn, they'd started a business together that had flourished pretty well. He'd become her family as well and lifted her up in her lowest moments, she felt beyond grateful to have him by her side.

"Ishqi beta!" Maasi said as she knocked on her bedroom door, holding a cup of green tea- Ishqi swung the door open and greeted her aunt, "Good Morning Maasi" Ishqi said as she took the mug from her and asked her to take a seat.

Maasi: Ishqi beta, woh mujhe tujhse kuch baat karni thi...she begun-

Ishqi: Arrey! Maasi aap itna hesitate kyun kar rahi hai? Boliye na! she said as she took a sip of the mint flavoured green tea, that had become her favourite- and it was definitely not a habit she'd gotten from Ahaan.

Maasi: Beta, dou(2) saal hogaye hai- kab tak tu aur Ahaan alag alag rahoge? Har pati-patni ke beeche masle hote hai par iss ka yeh matlab thodi na ke woh dono alag hojai? Tu ne kuch soocha hai iss baare mein? she tried to convince her niece, Maasi's heart broke seeing Ishqi's pain-

"Nahi!" Ishqi said sternly- "Meine na hi iss ke baare mein kuch soocha hai, aur na hi mujhe unn se koi rishta rakhna hai! Aur ek rishte mein bharose ki saabse zyada zaroorat hoti hai, jo ke mere aur Ahaan ke beech kabhi tha hi nahi! Aur Maasi, please! Mujhe iss baare mein aur koi baat nahi karni! Woh sirf mera ek burah maazi tha jo mein bhoolne ki koshish kar rahi houn!"- she looked away as she gritted her teeth-

Maasi realized that today wasn't the best day to bring this topic up so she stood up and tried to divert it, "Accha theek hai, chal neeche jaake nashta karte hai- Savitri Ji humara intezaar kar rahi hogi" she said as she side hugged Ishqi and both headed downstairs.

The family had breakfast and then Ishqi left for her office building~

Fast Forward: In Zayn's Cabin:

Ishqi was sitting in her best friend, Zayn's cabin ~ the two had just finished their hour long meeting and were now taking a break and having lunch. "Waise Ishqi" Zayn said-
