Renee's POV
"Argh!" I made that loud rough sound when I was forced out of slumber. With eyes wide open and soaking wet I looked around the dark room to the man seated on a stool. Well shut the front door! It's the freaking Prince! I'm seated in front of the Prince and I look like a dog that has been rained on! He dragged his fingers through the roots of his hair in a slow sexy way. He has such dark eyes!
When the man holding the metal bucket dropped it on the floor, I paid attention to him to.
Shit the front door again! He's hot! Yes he is! I am not looking my best right now!
"Good morning sleeping beauty. Did I wake you up too soon?" He questioned me.
"C-cold w-water? S-seriously?" I trembled.
"Next time I'll warm it up for you." He smiled crookedly. Man he's bad.
But the handsome monarch on a stool is quiet. "Your Highness! Right?"
"We are not here to exchange niceties."
"Shut the front door! You're the bastard from the airport! The nerve!" I tagged the ropes binding me to the chair. Nothing. "You drugged me!"
"Calm down." He spoke softly. "Or he will find creative ways to calm you."
One look at the man beside him and I piped down. "What do you w-want?"
"Do you remember Thalia?" He asked me.
Of course I do! I never ever forget a face. My memory is just like that. Excellent. That is the only thing I share in common with my father.
"Y-yes I do. My condol-lences." It's so cold in here.
"I want you to give me a detailed report of what you two did or said to each other when you met." He continued to speak in the same tone with his eyes on me.
"Why?" I asked him.
I promised Dabi I won't reveal their location or even what they were doing. When Thalia passed away, I thought it strange but there was no time to ask questions or anything. I left as soon as I could the same way I got into the kingdom; as a store away in a ship.
"I don't like being questioned." He narrowed his dark eyes at me. "You either cooperate or something else. I would advise you not to explore the second alternative."
"Uh... Okay. I don't know what you want but I swear I had nothing to do with it."
He raised his eyebrow. "Nothing to do with what?"
"I... your fiancee's death. I had nothing to do with it."
He turned to the man beside him. "I have to go." He glanced at his gold wrist watch. He looks sharp in a three piece navy suit and a matching tie. "Deal with this."
He got on his feet with all that sexiness and my eyes willfully escorted him out of the dark room. "Mmm-hmm." I smiled to myself.
"Eyes here." The one remaining in demanded. "We don't want to keep you here but we will if you don't tell us what we need to know."
"Where is here if I may ask?"
"Somewhere within our jurisdiction. You're don't look daft do I'll ask questions and you respond with answers that guarantee you walk out of here alive."
I almost choked on the last word. "A-alive? What do you mean? Will you kill me?" I struggled with the rope. I need to break free. "Dude, I don't want to die! I am almost 21! I have so much shit to do! I don't want to die!"
