Lokefar
Renee's POV
If there's something I forgot to ask Reli and I seriously blame that sudden unexpected kiss, is where to meet him after I get to Saine Neane.

I left the base accompanied by a soldier as per Reli's orders. He smoothly got me through to Lokefar and he went back only after I was safely delivered into a palace. I have never been inside a real life palace with royals. I know a family from back home who own a palace. The Sinclairs. There are many times my sisters and I wished to be born as Sinclairs. That family gives rich a whole new meaning. Their house is something else.

I'm getting that vibe on an even larger scale as my eyes are drawn to every little bit of detail on the walls lined with art that looks expensive. The ceiling is so far away. I even stretched my hand to attempt to reach but I'm like an ant. This place is majestically large! It doesn't help that the palace sits on it's own land surrounded by water!

"I did that too the first time I got here." A woman with a sly look informed me. She's standing above at a landing that looks like a long bridge. There's a glass roof above us and plants and flowers all around. I feel like I'm outside but I'm inside. She moved her hand to point forward. She started walking and I made the same motion to meet her at the bottom of the stone stairs.

This place is not shiny with marble and gold but it boasts of elegance. "Hi. I'm Renée!" I smiled at her.

"Hello Renée. I'm Brea."

"Should I bow or curtsy? I'm not from around... I'm not sure what to do. Bow?" I awkwardly bowed halfway and tried to curtsey too.

She laughed heartily. "We don't do that here. Save it for Carperia." She winked at me. "So... What can I do for you?"

"I'm looking for the Duke."

"Why?"

"Uh... Reli-"

"His Highness. Please use the proper title. His Highness."

"Oh... His Highness sent me. He said the Duke will help me follow him to Saine Neane." I looked at my wrist watch. It's been five hours since I left Ebrium. "Like ASAP."

"Is there a problem?"

"No."

"Right... tea?"

She walked ahead of me into a round room with a dome shaped glass ceiling. The sun is setting. It will be dark soon and I haven't followed Reli.

I dropped my bag on the floor and sank into the soft arm chair. She sat down too.

"You have a great house!"

"Thank you. Where do you come from?"

I can't talk about where I come from. I made myself that promise. I want a new start and it has nothing to do with my family.

"Europe."

"Hmmm... Vague but fine. You look Asian."

"Uh... Sometimes." I shrugged.

I sort of look it. Sort of. I'm a mixture of so many things and it's funny how we all look different from each other. I am part Chinese, part Spanish, part Scottish and I won't even get into the St Patrick bloodline. But funny enough, I was born a replica of my mother. It's a copy paste situation. Like literally copy paste.

"Sometimes?" She laughed. "You are so adorable! I like you already. My husband isn't home."

"I can wait."

"For a week? Because he's out of the Kingdom. If it's ASAP, a week is a long time. Isn't it?" A servant served the tea. I'm starving! Why am I always starving?
