Third Person POV

As a hard knock rings through the house, Bryce approaches the door, pulling it open. Two tall, strong-looking men stand on the other side in front of them, and although he sees the older of the two ducking back from where he was most likely looking in a window, Bryce barely seems to notice, speaking up, "Hey! What's up? What can I do for you?"

The younger man steps just barely forward, holding up his phone which has a girl on TikTok pulled up before asking, "This is your girlfriend right? You're Bryce Hall?" Bryce barely even has to glance at the screen, quickly nodding and looking back at the men as he leans sideways against the doorway,

"Yeah, Rory's my girlfriend. Technically I guess. She took off though, the other day, off on vacation. She's either seeing some friends somewhere or I don't know. What would you two need her for?" His eyebrows raise, but no particular emotion presents itself on his face. The older of the two finally speaks up, stepping forward so that the scowl on his face is even more obvious than before,

"She's my daughter, his brother. This is Alijah," He points sideways towards his son before continuing, "And she left, so I'm gonna need her back, now, boy. She's mine," His gaze hardens as he asserts his dominance over the situation, naming his object-like views on his daughter, yet Bryce remains relaxed against the door, barely if at all bothered as he shrugs,

"Dude, she left me. At least for now. I can't help you," He moves to close the door, to go inside, but Alijah grabs it roughly, keeping the door open. Even with his dangerous seeming behavior though, his voice maintains it's diplomatic tone, contrasting with his older counterpart,

"Has she told anyone when she was planning on coming back? Or anything about how to find her at all? We just," He laughs lightly, "We really want to find her, you know? Reuniting the family and all of that," He pulls a charismatic smirk on his face, clearly attempting to pull anything out of Bryce about Rory. Bryce glances to the side before looking at him. He steps back into the doorway, prompting Alijah to take his hand off the door,

"Look man, if you've actually been looking for her, around social media and all, you would know that lately we've been pretty off and on. Last time she left it was for over a month. I haven't even known her a year dude, but she's, she's weird, and spacey, and kind of just does whatever she wants. I doubt she told anyone where she went or anything about it. I doubt she cared to," He shrugs, "I mean you probably know how she is, unnecessarily difficult at pretty much any chance," At Bryce's last remark, Rory's father lets out a scoff,

"Now that sounds about right," Alijah smirks again, nodding in agreement with his father. Bryce doesn't react much, just shrugging,

"I'm just not gonna keep trying, she's uncontrollable, y'know?" He waits until the other two men respond with nods and a scoff again before continuing, "She's just not worth the effort,"

"You got that right. The bitch lived in my house for however many years, not a thank you, or an apology. I honestly am better off, but for some reason we had to come all the way out here at six am, three am our time, to get the brat," Alijah smirks, leaning against the other side of the doorway from Bryce as his father continues on about his sister, "See, her mother is tired. When Aurora left, she left all of her chores, all of the work, the food, the cleaning, all of it to my poor wife. She has to do all of it because Aurora just thought she could dump it all on her. The selfish bitch just needs to come back and do everything she used to." Alijah speaks up now,

"She's just a pest honestly, but she quiets down real quick with the right persuasion," A sadistic laugh escapes his mouth, "I'll tell ya, one time, Alex and I got her down real good after she broke his phone, knocked it off the counter or something. Nothing compared to how Dad used to punish her though, that was real entertaining," Bryce's fists begin to clench, but it's not noticeable to the other two men, who are laughing at their memories of Rory.

"But I mean, it's not like she doesn't deserve it right?" Her father looks back at Bryce, but the scene in front of him has changed considerably since, his face changing quickly to shock.
