"Okay, I'll be right back," I smile at them, pulling out my phone as I walk into the bedroom adjacent to the living room. As I glance over my lock screen, I see texts from Bryce and literally every other Sway boy, as well as Avani and Mads. I take a deep breath, clicking on one of the missed calls from Bryce before holding the phone up to my ear,
"Rory?! Is that you?" He nearly shouts through the phone, causing me to wince slightly at the sudden noise, but I answer nonetheless,
"Yeah, it's me, I'm with Kio and Nessa," I sit down on the edge of the still neatly made bed.
"Where the he- what is- why did you-" Bryce starts trying to ask at least four questions at once and I can't follow until he finally asks one clearly, "What is going on?"
"So I um- I got a text while you guys were arguing and I well, I had to leave..."
"What does- what the hell... Sweets, what does that mean?" I can all but see the frustration and anxiety that probably is resting on his face right now, but he tries to sounds calm as he finally asks another clear question. I switch the call to speaker phone, opening my texts as I respond carefully so he doesn't flip out more than he has to,
"I'll send you a screenshot. I um, well, Bryce, Aaron texted me. My dad and Alijah are coming here and try and take me home. To Alabama," He stays silent, but I still send the message, still hoping that he won't well... freak the fuck out.

"What does he mean they're just coming to get you? They can't do that! You're nineteen, you have a life here! They aren't doing that, Rory, you need to come home now," Bryce panics, causing me to sigh and shake my head,
