Rory POV
As the car rolls to a stop in front of the house, I can just tell that there are over a hundred people inside. Easily.
"Are you sure you want to... it looks kind of crazy in there," Kouvr asks, leaning towards my side to look at the house. I just shrug and then shake my head,
"I'll go in. It'll be fine, if they're being dumb I'll just go upstairs. I've taken up enough of your time today. Just go home and hang out with everyone," I smile, hugging her goodbye. Once I get out and she drives away I walk towards the front door, up my driveway. A guy walks out the door as I get there, looking me up and down with a smirk. I shiver, ducking behind him and into the party. Why would he look at me like that? Like I'm... a stripper or something.
I walk in to see huge cross of people everywhere, some whistling and cheering near the middle of the room. I can't see anything though because everyone around me is at least five or more inches taller than I am.
I pull out my phone, standing against the wall by the door as I check and see that Jaden still hasn't seen my text. I shake my head, clicking call below his name. I hold it against my ear and walk outside slightly so I'll be able to hear him.
"Rory?"
"Yeah, hey, I just got home, what's going on?"
"You're home?! I thought they told you to-"
"Jaden, I texted you. I just figured I could go upstairs if something was really going on but I couldn't even get past the front door!" I wait for an answer but I just hear panicked whispering on the other line and then a female voice yelling a few feet away but it's muffled. "Jaden? Come on, I'm just tired and I want to go to bed."
"Here. Okay, do not come inside, I'll come get you, alright? Are you outside?"
"Yeah. Jay, what is going on, you're making me nervous."
"Everything is okay Ro, just wait for me." I think he thinks he hung up because I hear the phone hit something, and then I hear,
"What are we going to do?! She can't see him!" Noah?
"Would she leave?" That's definitely Blake.
"She'll know something is up, she literally just wants to go to her room!" Mads? They must have had me on speaker. I shake my head, hanging up and pulling the door open. I just don't want to be out here by myself.
Why is there a huge birthday party at my house seven o'clock and I had no idea it was happening?
If there was a birthday party happening for my boyfriend, why did Tayler and Griffin tell me to not be here?
I walk in and try to politely make way way through the crowd and to the stairs. This new house is so much bigger, I guess I should have known the boys would want to throw more parties. I mean, I guess I forget about this side of them. I see them as my amazing boyfriend, my best friends who are like my older brothers, even Nessa, Mads, and all of their girlfriends, a lot of them do go to parties, but no one acts like that around me. They act... more mature I guess? Which I appreciate but it's different I guess.
I bump into someone and I look up to see Zach Clayton. "Yoooo! It's Rory! Wait, aren't you and Bryce like... dating, dating?" I look at him confused, didn't him and Bryce get into a fight or something? Why is he here? See this is my issue with the social media world. And why is he asking that?
"Uh, y-yeah, he's my boyfriend. Why d-do you ask?" I stutter out as he drunkenly wraps his arm around my shoulder, leading me the opposite way of the stairs, towards the kitchen. I shrink slightly, but let him pull me through the crowd. I hear Tayler's voice in the next room, and laughter, but Zach is leading me away from it. His grip on my shoulder makes me uncomfortable, but I know Zach is a nice guy, just a little bold and goofy sometimes. He seems fairly harmless. Which is the nice way of repeating what Bryce calls him.
