Isaac POV

Ever since our argument, I've been giving Cassie the cold shoulder. I've ignored her text, calls and even went to school without her. It's been going on for 3 and a half weeks. It got to the point that even Marinette and the others have been scolding me for being cold to her.

"I'm just not ready to speak to her. Not yet." I said as I parried Nino's sabre during our sparing session before going to our first period.

"Dude, it's been going on for at least 3 and a half weeks. Hell, it's coming up to 4 weeks. Even your career is getting worried about you." Nino replied as  he thrusted his blade at me. I hopped backwards and jabbed my sabre at his armoured torso. He sighed and pulled off his visor.

"Nino's right, Isaac. You can't stay mad at Cassie forever. Besides, it wasn't your fault that Hawkmoth fell of the Eiffel Tower. It was an accident." Alya said.

"Yeah right. Tell that to Adrien, who is on the run from the cops. And now Cassie's telling me that they don't look alike." I grumbled bitterly.

"She's not wrong though." Kagami said.

"Not you too!" I whined.

"Look, I'm just saying. Surely you would understand, Isaac." Kagami replied.

"I'm with Kagami on this one. And arguing about it is ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous." Chloe said, filing her nails.

"You know what else is ridiculous? You guys agreeing with Cassie. I don't know if you guys have mellowed down and decided to be all buddy buddy with August and Lily. But we're suppose to keep an eye out for Shadow Owl."  I retorted.

"We have been. Every night. And so far, there's no sign of him. We even checked his old house. It's been cleared out and sold to the highest bidder." Marinette said with a scowl.

I felt like kicking myself in the gut. How did I forget about that?

"Fine. I'll go and see Cassie during break and-." I said.

"How about now?" Cassie said, leaning against the entrance of the sports hall.

The others nodded and left the hall, leaving us alone.

"Now, before you start ranting about how I've been giving you the cold shoulder, I just want to say that-." I began.

Cassie shook her head.

"I just wanted to say about what I said. It was out of line. I'm sorry." She said.

"Are you? Because you and August have been awfully close together last time." I replied bitterly.

Cassie raised an eyebrow.

"I could say the same about you and Alix." She said.

"Alix. You mean the girl with the rollerblades? She's just a friend." I replied.

"Like how you described me last year?" She said.

I tried to think of something to say but I couldn't speak. The words got caught up in my throat. She showed me a picture of Alix and I kissing.

"And to think you cared about me. August showed it to me on Sunday. I didn't want to believe it but I was wrong about you. First Stacy. Now Alix. How many girls are you going to kiss behind my back?" She asked tearfully.

"I- I don't-." I began.

"Save it, Isaac. I apologise for hurting you last week. But I'm not sorry for doing this." She said and took out the pendent I gave to her after the night we spent together after the Christmas party. She removed it from her neck and planted it into my hand.
