Miraculous Ladybug: Vendetta Part 2

Chapter 21: Final battle

Marinette POV

Luka and I stood in front of Lila and Adrien, standing on top of the Eiffel Tower while our friends were fighting the sentimonsters.

Apart from the wind, not a word was uttered from either of us. 

I twirled my yo-yo.

Luka clutched onto his lyre.

Adrien tapped the base of his cane sword.

Lila fanned herself with her bladed fan.

Eventually, I broke the silence.

"None of this would've happen if you didn't believe the rumours, Adrien." 

Adrien chuckled.

"Maybe so.  But I guess it doesn't matter." 

"Marinette loved you. And yet you pin after Ladybug. But when she rejected you, you turn the girl who created those rumours. Now, you'll stop at nothing to get your wish." Luka said.

"A fatherless punk like you would never understand. The same could be said for every orphan." Adrien replied bitterly.

Luka clenched his fists in anger.

"You don't mind if I take on Adrien, Melody?" He asked.

"Yeah. Go ahead, mon cheri." I said with a nod.

Luka pecked me on the cheek before darting towards Adrien.

I glared at Lila and took up my stance. Lila smirked and did the same.

We darted towards each other and traded punches and kicks. I ducked under Lila's fan and snapped a uppercut to her jaw, she blocked it and kneed me in the stomach. As I doubled over, Lila kicked me off the Tower. I quickly launched my yo-yo at the nearest building and swung onto the roof. 

Lila landed in front of me and threw her fan at me. I rolled under and snapped a kick at her. She blocked it and pushed me away. Her fan scrapped my shoulder as it returned to her.

"Give up, Mari-trash." Lila taunted.

"Go to hell, Lie-la." I retorted.

Luka POV

I parried Adrien's blade with my lyre before snapping a kick at him. He stepped back and struck the sheath at my ribs. I doubled over for a moment before dodging another sword swipe at my head.

"Have to admit, I expected nothing less from Marinette's rebound boy." Adrien taunted as we traded blows.

"I'm not her rebound boy." I said and kicked him in the face, breaking his nose.

Adrien growled and summoned butterflies, blocking my view. Before I could react, a sword was swiped at my midsection. I stumbled backwards and knelled as I clutched my bleeding stomach. The cut wasn't deep but it was unbelievably painful. Adrien stood over me and was about to bring the sword down onto my head.

"Any last words?" He asked.

I threw my lyre at him. He dodged and laughed at me.

"You missed!"

I smirked.

"Not likely." 

Before Adrien could comprehend what I meant, my lyre struck him in the back of the head, stunning him. I quickly got to my feet and punched him in the jaw, knocking a few of his teeth out. Afterwards, I kicked him in the stomach before grabbing him by the shoulders and headbutting him in the face. 

Adrien tried to snap a kick at me but I ducked under and swept him off his feet with a kick to the ankle. He rolled back onto his feet and growled.

"Cata-!" 

"Time stop!" I shouted, freezing time. I quickly removed the cat and moth miraculous from him. I snapped my fingers, returning time to it's normal speed.  

"-clysm!"Adrien shouted and jabbed at my stomach, only to realise that his miraculous was gone. Before he could react, I snapped an uppercut to his stomach, knocking him out. He collapsed onto the ground.

"Sleep it off." I said and went to go and help Marinette.

Marinette POV

I panted for breath as I dodged Lila's blows while Lila laughed at my efforts.

"I'd be a lot more better if I was Ladybug. Better than you, Mari-Trash." Lila taunted as she kicked me away from her. I rolled back onto my feet and panted.

"You'd make a terrible Ladybug, Lie-la. Even Chloe would be better than you." I replied.

Lila tutted in annoyance and summoned a Sentimonster resembling Volpina. Before they could finish me of, Luka jumped in front of me.

"Luka? Where's Adrien?" I asked.

"Out cold. And I got the butterfly and cat miraculous." Luka replied and helped me up.

"Aww! You got your man whore to defend you?" Lila taunted.

"Shut up, Lie-la." Luka growled.

"Fine, you can play with my sentimonster." Lila said as Sentivolpina darted towards him while I traded blows with Lila. 

She snapped a kick at my midsection but I caught her leg and got her into a leg lock. She screamed as she tried to free herself from the leg lock.

"Let go!" She shouted.

I ignored her and bent her leg hard enough to break it. She screamed in pain as I pinned her down and started punching her in the face over and over again until Luka placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Marinette. She's done. You can stop now." He said. SentiVolpina disappeared after I knocked Lila out. I ripped the Peacock brooch from Lila and stood up.

"Is it over?" Luka asked.

"Yeah. It's over. We won." I said, hugging him.
