Chapter 19: Fight!

Luka POV

I dodged a kick from on of the akumas before striking him in the back of the head with my lyre and dropkicked another akuma. After taking down a few akumas, I ducked under a staff aimed at my head.

"Time to skin you, snake boy!" The fake King Monkey said as he jab his staff at me again. I dodged it and snapped a kick at him. King Monkey caught my leg and threw me into a car. 

As soon as I recovered, I saw a tsunami of rocks heading my way. I quickly leaped from the ground and landed onto the roof. King Monkey followed me and swung his staff right at my head. I rolled out of the way and threw my lyre at him. The lyre struck him in the face, stunning him. 

I took a run up and kicked him hard in the torso, knocking him of his feet. Before he could recover, I removed the circlet from his head, causing him to turn into black smoke.

"One down." I sighed and returned to join the fight.

Alya POV

I dodged the jump rope attempting to wrap itself around my body as Dark Polymouse tried to get close towards me. We exchanged blows until I managed to gain the upper hand and kick her in the stomach. Dark Polymouse doubled over and glared at me.

"You asked for it. Multitude!" She called and shrank herself down to size, multiplying herself into multiple duplicates of herself. The duplicates climbed all over my body while I struggled to free myself. 

Eventually, I fell to the ground, battered and bruised. Dark Polymouse's duplicates fused back into one and stood over me. As I tried to crawl away, she wrapped the jump rope around my neck, choking me. I tried to reach for my fallen staff but it was too far away from me.

"I'm going to finish off the job and make sure you don't stand in our way." Dark Polymouse growled as she tightened the rope around my neck.

Before I blacked out, I felt the tension of the jump rope loosen as Dark Polymouse fell to the ground. She turned into smoke, leaving behind the mouse pendent. I panted for breath and looked behind me as I saw Nino with his rope dart in his hand. 

He helped me up to my feet and rubbed my bruised neck.

"I'm fine, babe. Thanks." I said with a weak smile.

"Don't strain yourself." Nino said as he rubbed my back.

"No promises." I replied and pecked his cheek before picking up my staff and returning to the fight. Nino sighed and followed me.

Cassie POV

I backflipped out of the way as Sting's whip lashed at me, trying to poison me. As I tried to get close to her, she kept her distance from me, lashing her whip.

"I see. You can't fight me without your precious miraculous." Sting taunted as she struck her whip at me. I ducked behind a car. Sting lashed her whip again, plunging the tip into the  car. I yelped in surprise and slide over the hood of the car.

I snapped a kick at Sting, who tried to dodge but failed completely and fell to the ground. She moaned in pain and clutched her broken nose.

"It's not that I can't fight without Sahara's help. It's because I'm disgusted someone like you is wielding my late mother's power for her selfish purposes." I said bitterly.

"Fuck you and your mother!" Sting shouted and lashed her whip at me. I caught it and yanked her towards me.

As Sting got close to me, I snapped a kick at her stomach, breaking her rib cage.

Sting coughed up some blood and fell to the ground, unable to get up due to the pain in her broken ribs. I removed the Scorpion bracelet from her wrist and placed it on mine. Sahara emerged from the light and hugged my cheek.

"Cas! You have no idea how much hell I went through while you was away." she said.

"We'll talk about it later, Sahara. Right now, it's hero time." I said and turned into Scorpio.  I handcuffed Stacy and left to join the fight.
