[POV: PONK]

Ponk woke up with a small yawn, stretching out on the warm sand, lifting themselves up and glancing over at Foolish and Sam with a small smile, they were both so cute when they were sleeping. Small little content smiles on their faces, as they got sleep for what was probably the first time in ages. They'd dropped Dogchamp and Freddy off at their house before having to run down to the beach to catch up with the two. Ponk was mainly happy to have gotten Sam and Foolish to take a break for the entire day from doing work,

Ponk had become the perfect chaotic balance for their two workaholics friends, they would overwork themselves and Ponk would then pull them away to have fun doing something else, but then Foolish and Sam would also have to make Ponk do work when they would try and avoid it for too long.

Ponk looked around contentedly, their eyes still adjusting to the unfiltered bright light, families were already coming to the beach in swarms and giving the trio odd looks. Which was too be expected, them being all teenagers out right at the crack of dawn, and teens in groups always seem to scare the white suburban moms.

Ponk sniggering as one particular mother who could only be described as a soccer mom, gave them all a worried look and scuttled off with her two toddlers trailing behind. Foolish sitting up beside them as he stretched out.

"Heya Ponk, d'you sleep well?" Foolish hummed as he took in tbe scenery of the beach in daylight.
"I always will when your around." Ponk flirted with a grin, Foolish's face immediately flushing as he coughed awkwardly.
"Th-That's good."

"Should we wake up Sam?" Ponk asked, meeting Foolish's gaze as they turned to look at Sam who was laying on his back passed out on the sand. Small grains of sand littered his dark green hair and his mouth slightly open as he slept.

"We can give him a moment," Foolish shrugged as he brushed through his own hair, getting a few of the sand-grains out. Ponk nodding in agreement before grinning manically,
"Maybe enough time for us to get a bucket and pour it on him?"

Foolish hesitating before grabbing the bucket with a grin, chuckling as Ponk's eyes lit up in excitement. The two running down to the water, splashing around for a second before filling up the bucket. Laughing like giddy little children as they ran back, Ponk bouncing excitedly as Foolish raised the bucket over Sam's head before pouring it right onto his face.

Sam sitting up immediately and sputtering as some of the water got into his mouth,
"WHAT THE HECK FOOLISH." Sam yelpled in surprise as he quickly wiped water off his head with a sandy hand. His green hair now sticking to the sides of his face, wearing a expression that was a mix between annoyed, amused, and weary.

Ponk and Foolish were on the ground laughing their asses off, ignoring all the staring from the families around them, busy enjoying one another's company.

Sam rolled his eyes playfully before shaking his hair and getting the droplets on both Ponk and Foolish, despite their yells of protest. Sam throwing his head back as he laughed at the two, eyes glimmering in amusement.

"Come on, let's go find somewhere else to do our teenage crimes and shit 'cuz SOMEONE WONT STOP STARING AT US." Ponk spoke, raising their voice as they turned around to glower at the mom who'd been staring at the group ever since she's gotten on the beach, she was now hiding behind her hand and pretending to not see Ponk who was sending daggers at them.

Sam and Foolish broke into laughter before getting off the now-soaking towel, Sam wringing it out and tossing it in their bag of assorted items like snacks, Sam's cigarettes, and their three swimming goggles.

Sam tossed the bag over his shoulder, Foolish grabbing the small umbrella they had put up to at least try and block some of the sun while they slept. Their families probably wouldn't particularly care anyways, they were out hanging out with one another more than they were actually at there own homes.

Ponk stood there awkwardly as they realized they had nothing to hold, looking around before grabbing the empty plastic bucket with a slightly embarrassed grin, rubbing the back of their neck with their open hand. The three began walking down towards the rocks, the current was a bit stronger there but if you could get around them there was a tide pool that almost nobody went too.

Ignoring more judgmental looks from people as they walked by, Ponk looking androgynous with bright white hair on their own stood out a bit, as well with Sam having bright green hair. Not to mention they all had painted nails, piercings, and jewelry, it was expected to get judged people with no fashion or taste.

They didn't mind, they all often made jokes about it anyways.

The sand was annoying to walk in, but as they got into the shade of the rocks it began to cool their feet, throwing up their stuff before scaling it themselves.

Ponk hissing in irritation as they burnt their fingertip from the heat of the sun's rays against the rock, both Foolish and Sam immediately rushing over and looking at their finger worriedly. Both were cooing over Ponk who would never admit it, was enjoying the attention.

It took them a while before they moved on and jumped down the rocks, enjoying the quiet blissful sands. Sam already having tossed down their things and was not setting them up, Foolish and Ponk wandering off to look at the tide pools. Sam joining them after putting out the towel, which has probably gotten everything else in the bag wet but they could deal with it later.

Foolish was crouching down near in the tide pool, grinning before pulling out a full conch shell and turning to the other two only to see Ponk who had started trying to convince Sam to poke a sea urchin.
"Look! I found a conch shell," Foolish called to the others as he smiled wider, creating little lines at the corner of his eyes.

"Oh cool!" Ponk said as they sat up to go look at it, admiring the shell, which was striped and had a slight orange tint to the points of it. The inside of the shell was a bright pink, which Foolish put up to his own ear excitedly like a little toddler trying to listen to the ocean for the first time.

Ponk found it slightly amusing, considering Foolish was probably smart enough to engineer an entire city yet still got so excited over small things as such.... It was, cute.

Ponk shook their head clearing the thoughts, no, he's your friend, he reprimanded themself inwardly before grinning back at Foolish. Foolish handed over the shell gently, which Ponk put up to their own ear and smiled as the noise of the ocean greeted them.

Sam sat up from the side of the tide pool and walked over to the other two, examining the shell Ponk was holding quietly.

"That's a good one, plus I found a little crab over there." Sam remarked as he continued studying the conch shell, which was only slightly cracked in one of the corners.

Foolish and Ponk exchanged excited glances before following Sam to where he'd just been only to see the little crab scuttling across the sand, burrowing into it like it was bashful of the 'crowd' of three.

Sam looking at Foolish and Ponk like he was a proud father, corners of his lips tilting upwards as he watched them crouching down where the little crab had been, watching for the crab to re-emerge from hiding. The little introverted crab didn't seem to be coming out anytime soon.
