Chapter 9- Score

You were walking in the corridor of Zapolyarny Palace to go back to your hotel when you saw Signora's office and thought to tell her that you are going back. You knocked on the door and waited but no reply came, you knocked again but there was still silence then someone called out to you from the side.

"If you are looking for Lady Signora then she's in a meeting with other Harbingers right now."

You looked to your right and it was a maid, you nodded then started going back to your hotel. You were walking down the road, looking around at the moonlit snowy city then suddenly felt a strange sensation. You felt someone was watching you, you looked back but nothing was there. You became cautious and continued walking towards your hotel. As you were walking suddenly someone covered your mouth with a cloth while holding you.

"W-What the?!"

You tried to break free from the grip but soon felt your consciousness fading away, you realized the person made you inhale something which caused you to faint. You tried to stay awake and summon your sword but your legs felt heavy and you drifted to sleep. Last thing you heard was faint laughter around you and saw some people gathering in front of you but you couldn't make out their faces.

You had been unconscious for hours; you didn't know how long it had been when you finally started waking up. You hazily opened your eyes and were met by nothingness, there was a very dim light in a corner and you could barely see anything. You tried to move but realized your arms were tied at your back to the chair you were sitting on. You pulled your arms, in hopes of freeing them but the knot was too tight.

"What kind of chain is this.....why can't I break it? And where am I?! And who was that?"

There were too many questions in your mind but at the present you knew you need to free yourself and get out of here. You struggled around, pulling your arms and moving on the chair to break free but all your efforts were in vain then suddenly you heard some footsteps approaching you. You became alert and looked around then suddenly a flash of light blinded you, you opened your eyes and could finally see where you were.

It was a huge and empty hall with nothing around and it was probably underground, soon enough you were surrounded by various people. You looked up at them and they were wearing the usual Fatui attire complete with their masks.

"Who are you all?! And where am I?!"

You shouted at them then the person in front of you removed his mask and your eyes widened as soon as you saw who it was.

"Marc?! What is this about?!"

The rest of the agents removed their masks as well and you saw they were all members of Signora's unit who weren't cooperating with you during today's session. Perhaps they were the ones Yana said who have been around for 7-10 years and are the most loyal.

"You all?! Have you all gone mad?!"

You shouted more but they didn't say anything then Marc came closer to you and clenched your jaw.

"Make yourself worthy of her? Those are the exact words you said, right, ma'am?"

"Did I say something wrong?"

"Y-You! Who do you think you are?! Worthy of her?! Do you have any idea how hard we have all worked to be recognized by her?! What did you do?! Why does she trust you so easily?!"

"Marc, calm down."

One agent on your left spoke which made Marc let go of your jaw and step back, the same agent then came in front of you and glared at you with his arms crossed.
