Chapter 18- Interrogation

A few days later, you came to the palace earlier than usual and asked around for the office of the First Harbinger. You were guided by a few people to a room on the first floor of the palace and the agents on guard questioned the purpose of your visit then went in to inform the First Harbinger. They came out a few minutes later and told you to go in.

"So, I finally get the opportunity to meet the almighty traveler in person. I must say, your deeds in Mondstadt and Liyue reached my ears fairly quickly and I was rather surprised when Signora brought you here."

"Well, glad to know I was popular enough for even you to know about me."

He chuckled then sat down on a couch.

"Interesting one you are.....Ah, forgive my rudeness! I don't suppose I introduced myself. Thy name is Pierro, the Jester- the First of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. The one who united everyone under Her Majesty and the one who helms our rebellion. Pleasure to make your acquaintance, traveler from another world or should I say- Honorary Knight of Mondstadt and Savior of Liyue?"

"U-Um, just Y/n is fine."

"Hahaha, so be it. So, to what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting?"

"Do you have a record on Signora's personal information? I wanted to know her birthday."

"That's.....certainly not what I expected you to ask. May I remind you that you are in front of the First Fatuus, Y/n. Is this really all you want to ask me?"

"It is. My others questions will go to Her Majesty, I have already asked everyone else and I doubt you would know anything more at this point."

"Are you so sure about that? Thy self has seen things beyond your knowledge."

"I'm sure you have but I don't want to know anything else at the moment. I only wish to know some things about Signora."

".....Hahaha, very well. But before that, I also have some questions for you so how about the two of us have a nice, long chat over tea?"

You squinted your eyes then nodded and sat down on the other couch in front of him and he poured some tea for the two of you.

"So, indulge my curiosity. What sort of world have you come from?"

"I don't know, I don't have many memories intact."

"Encountering an unknown God and getting separated from my brother then waking up here."

"An unknown God....Hmm, I see now. So, your purpose to meet Her Majesty is probably to see if she's that unknown God and ask her about your brother. Did I understand that right?"

"I only want to know some things about Signora, starting with her birthday."

"May I ask why?"

"Why.....well, to celebrate. What else would be the reason?"

He looked at you wide-eyed then put his tea-cup down.

"Signora is.....an interesting one, just like you. She harbors great power inside her, I still remember the day I recruited her.....the trail of smoke could be seen all over Mondstadt...."

"Trail of smoke? Great power inside her? What do you mean? Doesn't she only use a delusion? What other power does she have?"
