You came down to the harbor with Ningguang then stopped at Yujing Terrace to decide what to do. Ningguang seemed to ponder for a moment then looked at you with confidence.

"Have you heard of the chess game I made?"

"Liyue Millennial? Yes, I have."

"Mhm, it's based on classic chess but with different rules. I wanted it to incorporate Liyue's different traditions and cultures in a unique wat hence I introduced many things that aren't part of traditional chess ranging from rules to chess pieces and even boards. Currently, there are over 30 editions of it."

"That's....very ambitious, Lady Ningguang."

"Hehe, that's true. That's one reason why not many people have been able to catch onto it. I think the key will be to make something that easily catches the attention of people that haven't played much chess before."

Ningguang smirked then stepped closer to you and gripped your chin.

"You are the face of that historic event, Y/n. I intend to make chess pieces for everyone involved that day, including myself. Everyone who owns this chess set will preserve this moment in a vivid and compelling form."

"....I see, it sounds great."

You smiled and she let go of your chin then turned around.

"Then, we know what we are to do today. Since you are here right now, I will take some measurements to make this chess piece. Let's go."

You nodded and followed her down the harbor, you occasionally glanced around as everyone was preparing for the upcoming Lantern Rite, putting up various stalls and decorations. Ningguang then stopped in front of a familiar shop.

"Oh, Lady Ningguang and the Traveler, Y/n." it was Ying'er's shop.

"You already know each other, Y/n?" asked Nigguang.

"Y-Yes, we have met before...."

"Ara~ I think it goes a little deeper than that.....I don't teach my hard-earned skills to just anyone, you know. Our Y/n here is quite....fickle~"

"You seem to be in a good mood today." said Ningguang.

"Ah, there's nothing special about today but seeing the two of you together has definitely perked me up. So, the rumours were indeed true, hehe~"

"Rumours? What sort?" Ningguang asked.

"Oh, just the rumours of you two having a closer-than-average relationship. Or, need I be more direct?~"
