Chapter 63- Research

In the evening, you came back to Signora's office after the training to help her with documents and paperwork. You really wanted to get back at her for all that happened today and you tried to make your move but didn't get any chance. You thought now you'll be able to do something but unfortunately, she wasn't there with you.

"Seriously....now she went to the library. Looks like I'll have to wait until we reach home...."

You sighed and flipped the pen in your hand a few times then picked up another bundle beside you and started going through them. Some pages later, you came across an interesting file.

"Fatui's jurisdiction in Mondstadt....Hmm, if I remember correctly this isn't under Signora's domain. She can only look after the import-exports of Snezhnaya....then why is this here?"

You made space on your desk then flipped the file open and started going through the records.

"The Harbinger in-charge is....Dottore. Him....huh, didn't think he does these kinds of things too."

You went through the file and your eyes widened at the kinds of things that were written inside.

"Labs....experimentation....children....Ursa....I see now why he's in-charge of this. Hah~ why am I not surprised the Fatui do these kinds of things too...? But I suppose it's required for their rebellion, even if it's immoral...."

You pinched your temples then closed the file and rested your face on the table between your arms and decided to rest by taking a small nap until Signora comes back.

Signora went to the library a few hours ago saying she has to look over some information. You tried to accompany her but she refused you quite strictly. She reached the library and glanced around the shelves while standing at the doorway.

"L-Lady Signora! Good evening, what brings your here?"

The librarian spoke while standing up as soon as she spotted Signora and bowed to her. Signora looked at her then proceeded to walk in.

"I know what I need."

"As you say, Lady Signora. Please take your time."

Signora walked through the aisles while glancing around to ensure there wasn't anybody around. She chose to come at this time specifically because she knew the library is usually empty at this hour. She was to look for some very particular kind of books, the type that she couldn't have anyone see her read. She looked at the librarian who went back to reading the book in her hand and she quickly made her way to one specific book shelf.

"I can't believe I have to look at these kinds of books....! But, for the sake of a healthy relationship I must!"

She felt embarrassed but suppressed her feelings and looked over the books, running her fingers along them and picking out a few. She continued glancing around to ensure nobody is looking at her while she selected the books she needed. She then made her way to a secluded table at the very back corner of the library and seated herself then opened a notebook on her side and picked a pen then took one book from the pile and looked at it.
