The Gifted

Math tutor

Okay so it's been about a month and a half since I arrived to the PAG Institute. It's actually pretty awesome, there's only two things I hate about this place
1) Math class and 2 That since I'm the only Shadow Gifted nobody can help me with my Gift control
Although my granny helps me with what she knows
"Roxanne" the teacher called my name
"Yes?" I asked
"Could you please come to the front and solve this problem" she said pointing at the board and giving me a green marker
I stand up and walk to the front and solve the math problem
Algebra. I late it (love+hate)
Thankfully I had the problem correct
"Very good Rox" she said smiling at me "now I'll give you the quiz from last time" after hearing that I froze in my seat
As I said before I hate math class and since I suck at it,
quiz + math x me = failure
"Roxanne" Amanda called (math teacher)
I walked towards her desk and took my quiz, as I expected I failed
Then the bell rang
"See you tomorrow" she said
"How'd you go?" Bryan asked me getting next to me, I show him the paper
"Ouch" he said
"Yeah" I say "I really do suck at math" I give him a smile
"Roxanne may I have a word with you please" she asked, tho it sounded more like an order
"Sure" I say going to her desk, surprisingly (not) Bryan followed
"Roxanne you're a brilliant student, you learn fast and you never give up" she said and I smile "but you're not doing well in math" she said
"I know Amanda but I'm doing my best" I say
Her brown curly hair was on her face and her brown eyes seemed to sparkle when she saw Bryan behind me
"Bryan you can tutor her" she said enthusiastically
"Say what now?" I say surprised
"Bryan is a straight A student. He's really good at math, he can tutor you" Amanda said
"Well at least I'm your friend and I can tutor you happily" he said putting his arm around me
I look at my shoulder where his hand was resting then I look at him, then I look back at the hand and I slap the hand
"Ou" he mouthed
"Fine" I say

"So you just take 7x- 34b and 6x +34b. So the result is 13x " he smiles
"Wrong" I say "because -34b +34b equals- oh forget it I just got it"
Bryan laughs then the door opens and Rachel and Chase come in
"What's he doing here?" Chase asked
"Hello to you too Chase" I say sarcastically
Then he gives me a warm smile
"Hello Roxy, what is Pop here doing in our room?" He asked
"I bet they were making out" Rachel said
Bryan and I looked at each other
"Sorry Rox, but we got caught" he said in his British accent
"I think we'll have to kill them now" I say in my British accent, then we both laugh
"So you were making out?" Chase asks
"No" I say laughing "he's my math tutor" I say
"Oh" Rachel said "so-"
Wither she couldn't finish or I stopped listening because I seemed to appear in another place. A house. I was in the kitchen and I saw a woman cooking, I think she was cooking dinner because it was already dark outside. Dark? But it's only 4 o'clock.
"Oh it's a vision" I thought realizing what was going on
"Kids dinner is almost ready" she yelled
"Mommy Mark is playing with Toby" a little girl yelled from upstairs
"What? Our dog Toby is dead" the mom said in a low voice "tell daddy to go" she yelled
After a few seconds the husband yelled
"Clara! Come here really quick!" He sounded scared "now!"
I followed the lady upstairs but I stopped to see the calendar
February 16th
So this is the future. A month from my today
Then I hear a loud terror scream. I run upstairs and I see the mom lying on the floor unconscious and the boy crying, he had shadows around him
He's a shadow gifted
Then someone appeared at the door and shot the kid
I screamed in terror and I saw the poor kid lying on the floor dead
"7:43 pm the only Shadow Gifted had been exterminated" the mad who shot him said
I had tears in my eyes
"Monster!" I yell "he was like me. He's not the only Shadow Gifted, now thanks to you I am" I cried and then attacked the guy
Then I woke up
