*writer's note**there will be cursing and swearing in this chapter that why its in Non-teen fiction*
Upon entering Dad’s study familiar smells and memories assaulted me. The smell of Dad’s perfume still lingers in the air welling up the memory of the times that me and Dad had spent reading in the gloom of his study’s library, bringing tears in my eyes.
Soft arms and the smell of expensive perfume enveloped me leading me down on a nearby coach. Looking at my side I gave Carina, Atty. Luke’s wife/secretary a small smile. The door suddenly bang open startling us up and Uncle Stephen walk in, his large stomach a step ahead of him.
it’s the very first time that I ever see Dad’s older brother although I heard a lot about him and looking at his short portly figure and ashy hair, I can’t believe how different he looks like from my Dad’s well-trimmed figure and silvery blond hair.
Uncle Louie enters followed by Atty. Luke and the old couple who rented the west wing of our mansion, Granma Liliane and Granpa Henry.
Granma Liliane sits beside me, her familiar presence comforts me. She and her husband Granpa Henry, retired marine general rents our ancestral home’s west wing, I considered them as the grandparents I never knew.
Atty. Luke, our legal attorney opened the large briefcase he’s carrying and pulled out a thick document. I know its Dad and Mom’s last will and testaments. I’ve seen it before and Dad explained it to me though I never crossed my mind that I will see it the same day that I buried my entire family.
“I, Richard Owen Falcon, a British citizen, of legal age, single/married to Cordelia Marie Falcon, born on the…” Leaning myself on Carina’s shoulder I closed my eyes, loss in the drone of Atty. Luke as he read my parents will.
I already knew everything written on that Will as my father let me read it for several occasions and entails that everything they owned will be separated between me and Emily, and a large stipend to different charities and societies.
“He WHAT?!!” Uncle Stephen enraged shouts startle me.
“I'm his fucking brother! And that is what he left for me” I remembered the clause in the Will that father willed the mansion in Wales and 2 percent of Dad’s shares on the company on Uncle Stephen’s name.
“Mr. Falcon, your parents, the former Mr. and Mrs. Falcon willed everything to Mr. Richard before they died. It means that Mr. Richard have full control to whom will be his heir or heiress” Atty. Luke explained calmly.
“I know that fact, bastard! You think I'm stupid!” Uncle Stephen yelled, his face changing from red to purple. Atty. Luke’s face remains composed and reserved despite the name calling.
“She!” Uncle continued yelling as he points a chubby finger on me. “Is not even my brother’s real daughter! How come she got more than I am?!”
“Mr. Falcon, please understand. Ms. Falcon was legally adopted by Mr. Richard and therefore his only inheritor” The attorney reasoned to my enraged Uncle. The anger in his eyes stunned me.
What did I do? I never want the wealth they are talking about; I only want my family back!
“The other girl’s share should be mine!” He bellowed loudly.
OTHER GIRL!
He doesn’t even know my little sister’s name! The bastard!
A ringing sound filled my ears as fury rise up in me.
“Other girl!!” I shouted, stunning everyone in the room.
“You didn’t even know my little sister’s name yet you consider yourself a part of our family?” my chest is heaving furiously as the void in my heart is slowly filled with rage.
