A ringing sound wake me up from my sleep, reaching sleepily for my phone I answered it without even looking at the screen as I know only two people know this secured number.

“Hello, Uncle Louie,” I said hoarsely when I recognized my Uncle’s voice on the other line.

“Hi Doll! Did I disturb you?”

“No. I'm fine so what’s up?” I asked groggily as I'm still fighting over my sleepiness.

“Do you want to visit here?” He asked me.

Hmmm.. I wonder where Uncle is right now.

Wait?! What did he said? Do I want to visit where?

Sitting abruptly from my bed, all signs of sleepiness from my head banished completely with the possibility of his words.

“Visit where?” I asked hopefully.

“Here in England. Where else do you think?” he said over the line.

Really! Visit England!

“Of course! Gosh! I love to! I want to,” I replied excitedly. I heard Uncle Louie chuckling in the background as I run out of my room towards Grandma’s room.  Bursting into the room I shrieked excitedly to the stunned Grandma and Ana.

“I'm going back to England!”

*******

I could not stop fidgeting as me, Grandma and Ana along with Uncle Louie, who arranged the private jet were flying in, are travelling back to England.

I'm really nervous of what will I see when we landed, Uncle told me that when I left a year and a half ago gossips begun to spread around about my sudden disappearance especially when there was a death threat for me around that time. There are also talks about me dead especially when they didn’t saw any signs of me for more than a year and the suspicion fell to Uncle Louie and Atty. Luke, and it’s getting bigger because today is their first death anniversary.

Finally we landed on a private airfield and a car is already waiting for us.

Uncle didn’t immediately take us to the ancestral mansion where the family mausoleum was found within the estate grounds but towards a nearby unnotable motel.

Inside the small yet comfortable room I was greeted but Auntie Cora’s familiar hug, tears formed in my eyes when I saw that all of them are here. Auntie Cora, Uncle Tom, Grandma Liliane, Grandpa Henry, Atty. Luke, Carina and even the cold Kyla are here.

God! I really missed them all!

These people around me are the only family I know and I have, whether we are bonded to me by blood or love. I will always love and cherish my very own extended family.

After an hour of catching up with each other I dressed myself up in simple white sundress and arranged my hair in the braid that mom always loved. Taking a deep calming breathe I let Uncle Louie lead me to the car that will transport me back to the house that contains both happy and painful memories of my family.

Even from a far I can actually hear the hum of the media people in front of our estate gate. The thick tinted windows of the car I rode in with Grandma and Ana did nothing to silence their voices as they lined themselves up along the driveway.

I already know that Uncle Louie and Atty. Luke purposely invited them, in hope of silencing the malicious gossips circulating around me.

When all the cars that consisted in our convoy arrived I along with the others stepped out of the cars and the clicks of cameras immediately filled the air and flashes of light brightened the surroundings.
