**************

A ferocious roar erupted in the room, so loud that it rattled the windows and powerful enough to send me sprawling on the floor when the noise made me jumped out of the bed.

What in the world?!

I picked myself up on the floor, ready to give Thallan an earful of lectures when I felt this strange electricity humming in the air.

It feels like everything is charged with electricity that even the air I breathe seems to be electrified as I sucked in several lungful of much needed oxygen. It’s like how the surrounding feels like during a thunderstorm where unease and danger seems to emanate all around.

A roar, a little pitch lower than the first one, made my eyes snap towards Thallan.

I frowned when I saw that his gleaming, ebony-black hair is back on its usual length, cascading like a silky dark cape down on his back and his whole body seems to vibrate spasmodically as if he was having a seizure.

The humming sound continues, annoying and persistent until I realized that it was coming from Thallan's strange movement.

The sudden silence of the room made me aware of his harsh breathing, ragged and pained.

What's wrong with him?

"Thallan?"

I whispered as fear and concern laced in my quivering voice.

At my call, he automatically snaps up to me, a habit of him that he developed in the past week whenever I call his name and I was taken aback at the sight that met me.

I involuntarily step back when my brain finally processed what my eyes saw.

Thallan’s usual purple-blue eyes are pure black, not dark but inky black that shift and swirls into varied hues of black.

It’s what I imagine a Black hole would be, blacker than black and devoid of anything.

No light.

No emotion.

No soul.

And just like the Black hole, I felt like I'm being sucked in as I could not tear my eyes away from that pair of cold black eyes.

The mischievous glint that I'm used to see on him disappeared as well. The only remaining traces of Thallan in those eyes are the twin set of purple pinpoints that are looking at me intently.

What's happening!?

Danger.

Run.

Run!

Run!!

Concern for him overcomes the need to flee as I try to fight and reason to the alarming siren that is continuously blasting on my head.

What is the danger?

What is happening to him?

What should I do?
