The white circle etched with mysterious esoteric symbols pulse and glows rhythmically, mirroring the heartbeat of the woman who currently read and chants from a worn small book. She was too engrossed in what she was reading that she failed to notice the purplish smoke emerging within the circle as she stand with her back on it and it continue pouring out until it almost overflow out of the magical ring but same esoteric symbols that decorated the ring create an invisible barrier preventing it from passing out of the summoning circle.
The smoke slowly converged together into a tight ball of swirling mass, moving and changing erratically like the way the clouds constantly change during a thunderstorm
Slowly, from within the hazy smoke a vague form began to appear. The smoke shifted intermittently revealing at some point a cascade of long dark hair of the creature within the cover of smoke.
The woman was still unaware of the possibly dangerous figure behind her as she continue reading from the book infront of her until the figure let out a spine-tingling growl, raising goosebumps in her bare arms and she slowly turn towards the figure the same time the smoke gradually evaporate, revealing a form of a man that is not truly a man.

This is stupid! I can’t understand anything.
I can’t understand the writings in the book. The language barrier seems too strong for me to break.
This is useless!
I angrily shut the book up the same time I heard a low growl behind me.
“Jake?” I murmured confusedly, that dog of mine avoided this particular room as much as he can, so why is he here? And I never heard Jake growl before especially to me.
I turn around to search and correct him up but the thing that meet my eyes rooted me frozen on where I stand.
There’s a smoke in the middle of the attic! I almost run towards it thinking that there’s a fire in the house when I notice that the smoke is just located in the same place, it didn’t scattered all around and it was slowly dissipating revealing something within their hazy curtain.
I stumbled back when I saw a man emerged from the smoke. He is kneeling on the floor while having this crazy sneer in his face, his eyes also emits a strange purple glow that seems to come from within him and it’s really unnerving as he stares hard at me.
Where did ‘he’ come from?
Slowly and deliberately he stands up, his eyes never leaving me as I stand frozen several feet away from him, mesmerized by the strangeness of his eyes.
Warning bells at the back of my mind screams danger yet curiosity brings the worst out of me as I ignore it.
The stranger now stands in his full height infront of me, tall and proud. The warning bells in my head are clanging louder now ordering me to run as far away as possible.
Ignoring the persistent voice in my head I study the creature infront of me, a half-naked creature with a long dark hair that made my own locks pale in comparison.
I blushed hard when my eyes landed on his very naked chest and my distance from him granted me a very embarrassing view of the tiny dark hairs scattering just below his navel and down towards his..
Get a grip on yourself, Elisha! I scolded myself as I blushed more. The life of a sheltered and cherished daughter never taught me how to deal with a half-naked man/stranger. When Dad was still alive he never took his shirt off and Mom would have a heart attack if Dad goes prancing around without a shirt on and Dad never allow a stranger especially a man near us.
