Driving towards the clinic with Jake safely strapped in the backseat, the clear sky and the same clear road made my mind wander.

A week had passed after I made that accidental summoning.

At first, I find that living with half dozen imps is really hard although I laugh more often because of their crazy antics paired with my ever mischievous dog. They are a bit hard to control but add a demon who insists that he should sleep where I sleep, it becomes crazier than ever but I just bear with it because I rather have him sleep at the foot on my bed than to have him sneak into my bathroom.

 That perverted demon.

I could not stop the smile from appearing on my face, never in my craziest imagination did I dream of living with a demon in my house and half a dozen imps but oddly enough I easily accepted them in my everyday life.

Maybe the absence of companions or someone I could talk with made easier for me to welcome them in my life especially having a demon that’s very hyperactive and talkative at the same time.

The imps manage my home, cleaning everything and they even trim the knee-high weeds growing around the house. For the first time every room in my home become spotless except for the attic room, grandma and Ana's room. Like Jake, the imps stay away from this room.

Thallan, even that curious demon never entered either Grandma's or Ana's room. He said that they left a strong presence in their room, a very forbidding presence that warns anyone from entering their place.

Pulling on the parking area of the vet clinic, I frowned at the sizzle of electricity in my arm where the faint mark is.

 Thallan?

I looked around my surrounding but found nothing but trees and some errant cars driving by but I know he is nearby probably watching again even though I forbid him from straying away from the house.

He is afterall a demon and I could never completely control him but I could not help but look around but he is nowhere to be found.

*************

"Boring." I groaned out to myself.

Three hours had passed since I opened the clinic and no one ever walk-in.

The clinic is empty as well, no pets and boarded animals inside. The last pair of cat boarded in the clinic was taken by their owners an hour ago, making the clinic deserted with only Jake and me inside.

“This will be a very boring day, Jake.” I said to my dog who lazily curled on my feet. “Or maybe it won't.” I followed up immediately.

I saw somebody's figure blocking the sun on the clinic's glass door and after a melodious chime of the bell over the door, the figure walk-in and my mouth literally dropped down.

The man that walks inside could easily become Thallan's twin, a human twin to be exact.

He got a gleaming black hair that is long enough to graze his ears is tousled up in a manner that is far from being unkempt and my eyes automatically travel towards his eyes.

His resemblance to Thallan is uncanny especially looking at his purplish-blue eyes that possess this mocking look that Thallan usually sports at me whenever we are arguing about anything and everything.

Those the-sky-before-the-night-come eyes are unmistakably Thallan's but what entered the clinic is definitely a human, a living flesh and blood.

 Could it be?

I watched him as he walked towards me, his height and broad shoulders made the usual spacious clinic a bit tiny.

"Hello. I'm new in the area and just stopped by here to check the only vet clinic in town." He said while flashing a devastating grin on my direction.
